Remarks

College Management of GITA is very Supportive. Its one of the best College Management in the state.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course Curriculum of GITA follows BPUT Course Curriculum which is adaptive to recent had updated technology involved around the world.It covers all the topics regarding competitive exams like GATE,ESE etc.The Syllabus is divided into three modules.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it does.I had applied for the summer internship at BSNL through our college internship cell and I got shortlisted.During the Internship period i got a heft amount of rupees 3215.

Placement Experience

Currently I am placed in UTC Aerospace limited. The job opportunity at GITA is quite open for all the students.Top companies like Infosys,Capegemini,CTS,Byju,Coca Cola etc are coming for recruitment.The Training Placement Cell is doing an excellent job.

College Events

There are a lot of events throughout the year that includes Annual Tech Fest guided by our beloved Prof.Kali Prasanna Swain and prof.Saroj Swain,Cultural Meet"Akhankya",Atheletic meet "Awahan" Debate Competition regarding latest Socio Economic Issues

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very Much Feasible. Here we have an Installment Facility. Fees can be paid in Installment.For each year the fees is paid according to the feasibility of the parents.Fees is very reasonable in compare to other college present in the state.office Personnel are very well behaved.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes Scholarship are provided in college like PRERANA,MEDHABRUTI,and also the loan facility is availed.

Campus Life

Campus life is simply the best here. No one will know how their campus life started and came to an end. It was worth to involve worth such a college. Lots of memories are trapped in this college. First of all it is a ragging free campus. 1st year students have a lot of freedom here. Also seniors are very helpful and friendly here. There is a well balanced gender ratio in our college.

Hostel Facilities

I was a Day Scholar but what I have heard the Food quality is very Hygenic. I have taste the food in college canteen is really good and tasty.All the hostels are under CCTV surveillance. Cleaniness and Hygiene are maintained and Caretakers monitors the Hostel and canteen on a regular basis.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

A good alumni network benefits the institution, current students and as well as its Alumni. It is a win-win situation for everyone.The Alumuni is registered one named as GITA Vintage that is running successfully under the dynamic leadership of Prof.Saqti Mohanty and Prof.Surya Narayan Moahanty.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure is followed strictly under BPUT that is a semester based examination. Each year two semesters along with two class tests are done.This also covers Lab sessionals,Seminars,Projects activities.Also care is taken for spoken English of students.

Admission

Initially I gave AIEEE exam.With my score I gave GITA as first choice and Electronics and Communication Engg. as choice branch along with other colleges like C V Raman College,GEC college and Silicon Engg College as second third fourth choice respectively. I got admission in GITA in ECE branch and I am Happy that I have made the right decision.

Faculty

The teacher student relationship in GITA is really admirable especially in Dept of ECE.All the faculties are very supportive and student friendly.I am still connected with my dear faculties who guide me in taking right decision in my life.Almost all of the faculties are Phd holders.

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

From sixth semester you are eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are Tata power, Adani, OPTCL and others.The highest package for electrical engineering is 10 lacs. 60percent marks is required for getting placement.

My college is best

Likes

Things I like is to good faculty, garden.
VSSUT provides the best amenities and bathrooms.
Excluding hostel & other facilities are like good.

Dislikes

The water quality is not good at all from mess side.
The drainage system is not maintained well.
The surroundings are not clean and the guarda are strict.

Placement Experience:

Some say that the celllege has better placements, but that the salary is not very lucrative. Infosys, Tata Steel, IBM, Wipro, Cisco Systems, Larsen and Cognizant, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group. My plans are to go to better iim for mba

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.
