Remarks

As of now I don't have any bad remarks about the college but this college encourages more in terms of academically rather than culturally and socially

Entrance Preview

We can find this college in top 10 and for a mechanical branch, NIE is one of the best colleges I can choose and not only for mechanical for other branches also this is one of the best colleges in Karnataka. And most importantly it is an autonomous institute under VTU Belgaum.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Well NIE as you know it is best for mechanical branches, in our college they offered you mech or IP. Both branches are really good. most of the faculty members have finished their Ph.D. and most of the lectures have an experience of 10 to 20 years in teaching. Then there is the vast opportunity in research in this college.

Internships Opportunities

Yess internship is provided bt it will be in 3rd and 4th years. But I am the first year, I don't know much about an internship.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are really good, in mechanical branch 60 to 70% of the students get placed and in IP branch 50 to 60% of the student get placed. In CS placement is also good in our college and I can't neglect EC, EEE and civil half of the students get placed. But totally 60% of the student get placed in our college.

College Events

3

In the present year(2018) At the beginning of the odd sem, we had a civil fest, automotive fest for mechanical students which is celebrated once in 2 years. Technicians are a college fest which will be celebrated in even sem. But honestly, there is a less encouragement to cultural events in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes fee is reasonable, I came through kcet so I paid 19k as government fees and extra 15k as college fees this is for aid, for unaided government fees is 52k.since my friends came from comedk they had paid 2lakhs per annum and management seat is around 8 to 12 lakhs, depends on the course which you choose.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yess as NIE is aided college, scholarship and loan facility is offered by our college. Many of my friends are utilizing it.

Campus Life

4

The campus is very good we had an indoor stadium and park inside the college, parking facilities are available. Boys are more in the college compare to girls. Students have come from all around India. There are many clubs in our college like onyx and many more.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel is new and the atmosphere of the hostel is really good. Since it is a new hostel which is backside to our college, all the equipment is new and the food is damn good. Dishes are different from day to day, monthly once we will have a special meal and hostel is full vegetarian. And the fees are 75k with 10k as initial deposit.

Alumni/Alumna

As I am studying in the first year I don't know much about the alumni network and alumni meet. But it's difficult to identify senior of the particular branch because there is no uniform in our college.

Exam Structure

If you are really good in studies then is Exam will be easy. Every month there will be internals for 25 marks and there is totally 3 internals in which best of 2 will be selected and after that, in the mid of 4 to 5th month we will have an exam which will be for 100 marks then it will be reduced to 50.

Admission

I got into this college through kcet i secured 23k rank.A week after i had an document verfication and after all those process. In online we have to select the colleges in our convience and probability of getting those college with particular branch. In first round i got this college.

Faculty

4

As you know first is common for every branch, a faculty is from MSC background and for core subjects is taken by a good lecture in that field. And in every branch, there are lectures from IIT graduates and most of the faculty have finished there Ph.D.But as we entered degree we can't fully depend on teachers we have to study by yourself.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
