Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is all application-based and is very helpful for the placements. The credit-based courses help students to concentrate on the subjects or streams they are interested in Exams are scheduled with fewer or no gaps. Two internals and one sem end exam will be conducted every semester.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships are usually left to students to find and complete the projects. The college placement cell just provided us the information of available internship opportunities in different companies. A lot of companies provide internships here. At least one mandatory internship is a must for a student. Stipends usually range from Rs 5k to Rs 95k.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is no 100% placement in the college. But students grab the best packages ranging from 20 LPA to 5 LPA. All the branches avail good packages, with the highest package being 445 LPA. reputed companies visit relating to various disciplines and domains. I am planning to get placed from the college placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees are Rs.91000, and the year-wise 4-sharing hostel fees are Rs.88000, whereas the transportation fees are Rs.24000, which together is collected in the form of hostel fees as Rs.112000. Hostel fees for 3 sharing is Rs.100000, 2 sharing is Rs.125000, and 1 sharing is Rs.150000.Year-wise, either the college or hostel fees are incremented. he development fees are for particular students who will avail themselves on their performance the college .entered the college through KCEKCET. College fees for COMED-K students are Rs 1500150000, and for management students, they are Rs 200000. than that, students also get admitted directly to the second through DCET, which has different feeling structures. also depend on the course opted for. Courses have fees. 40 Rs. 40000. quota quotas ees of Rs.32000. All these fees are based on the KCET fee structure. College asks for Rs.10000 during the time of admission.

Campus Life

3.5

There are two campuses at NIE. NIE North is for IT-related branches, and NIE South is for core branches. NIE North is a new campus located in an industrial area and hence needs a lot of development relating to transportation, infrastructure, etc .NIE South is in the city, and hence the area of the campus is small, but the social life is best here. A college test named aechNIEks is conducted during the mid-year. Usually it lasts for 3 days. The mechanical fest is conducted separately for the mechanical students. easy access to all the books. well-shed classrooms and projectors. Sports and extracurricular activities are very well supported.

Hostel Facilities

4

Both campuses have the facilities of a hostel for both boys and girls separately. There are rooms ranging from 1 sharing to 4 sharing with fees depending on the same. I am in a 4-sharing room as it is money-saving, and we get a lot of friends. For a four-sharing room, each student gets a cot, a wardrobe, a cupboard, and a study table along with a chair. In the other room, a small bed table is also provided. Hostel consists of a mess where food is served 4 times a day (morning breakfast, afternoon lunch, evening snacks, and night dinner). The menu is adjustable Fees are being collected yearly, and all the amount has to be paid at once. The hostel is located inside the campus.

Admission

I had chosen this college due to its NIRF rank and the cutoff for the admission. This college was my second preference, and PES (Electronic City) was the first one. Since I didn't wait for the third round of KCET counselling, I had to get admitted to NIE, which I had gotten in the second round of counselling. The admission process went in ease. I only visited once, and all the processes were done the same day along with the hostel booking.

Faculty

3

There are a lot of lectures (visit the website to know more). Also, each course is assigned different lectures for different sections. Less experienced lectures particular subjects make it difficult for the students to understand the concepts and get good grades.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
