Course Curriculum Overview

3

Lovely Professional University's (LPU) academic offerings are extensive and encompass a broad range of subjects. It's beneficial since it covers both theoretical ideas and real-world applications. Some courses, meanwhile, might not be relevant to the practical skills required for work or the latest developments in the field. To further better prepare students for their professions, a greater emphasis on practical experiences like internships or industry projects could be implemented. Overall, even though the curriculum offers a solid foundation, there is still need for development to ensure that it is relevant to the modern labor market and to expand possibilities for experiential learning.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

As i said before that I have not personally opted for placements cause I want to pursue higher studies. But in general university does provide many internship opportunities. LPU also has tie-ups with many companies, which makes it easier to find internships. Overall, the internship opportunities at LPU are abundant but their stipend is very low.

Placement Experience

2.5

Usually at Lovely Professional University (LPU), placements are often quite good. Numerous businesses visit our college in an effort to hire students. They provide a range of roles and competitive pay. Even in cases where some degrees do not offer campus placements, students still stand a decent chance of landing a job. LPU assists us with job fairs and career counseling. Additionally, they have a robust network of alumni who can assist with job prospects. Should campus assignments not be available, I may pursue more education to obtain better degrees or hunt for employment on my own. But in past two years placements have not been very good.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not applied for financial assistance or placement sevices so I don't know much about that. But I got 30 % scholarship from LPUnest entrance exam. There are also scholarship based on 10th and 12th marks. You can also get a part time job offered by the university but the pay is very low. And yes the worst part is that you have to pay 14 thousand extra to be eligible for placements.

Campus Life

3.5

Lovely Professional University (LPU) has an amazing campus community! There are several activities and people to interact with. I became a member of several clubs, such as the music and photography clubs, which allowed me to pursue my interests and meet people who had similar pastimes. Our needs are fully met by the wide campus, which includes sports facilities, cafeterias, and libraries. Additionally, there are constantly festivals and events taking place, which keeps the atmosphere vibrant and thrilling. All in all, I've had a terrific time being a part of LPU's amazing campus culture!

Admission

Lovely Professional University's (LPU) admissions procedure was simple. I applied online and sent in the necessary paperwork. For my program, there was no set deadline for taking the entrance exam. But I had to fulfill the minimal requirements for eligibility. The vagueness surrounding the admissions decision-making timetable was one feature I found objectionable. A quicker turnaround time for application status updates would have been beneficial. Even though the procedure was generally simple, applicants' experiences might have been enhanced by more explicit information.

Faculty

1.5

As a student at Lovely Professional University (LPU), I occasionally find the academic members to be disinterested in teaching and having a dialogue. Only a few successfully engage students and exhibit subject-matter expertise, others are either unqualified or have communication and instructional style issues. The qualifications of faculty members and their capacity to make students understand clearly differ from one another. They also keep changing teachers every semester so we are unable to farm a relationship with the teacher.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
