- Campus Infrastructure is pretty good. We've got a 600 something acres for a campus....... So you can explore for all 4 years of your college.
- The diversity that you get to see here is incredible. You will see people from different countries not just India .. so you get to learn about their culture as well.
- We've got a lot of faculties here like a lot of huge playgrounds, canteens in every hostel, salons in girls hostels, incredible mess and laundry services, a number of gyms both paid and free and a mall as well
Dislikes
- The attendance criteria is very strict for it to be between 70-75 percent at least. Sometimes it's very difficult to maintain the attendance.
- There are a huge number of students just in the cse branch only... So sometimes it gets too crowded after the classes.
- The leave system I personally don't like it very much... Since every time you need to go somewhere you need to fill a lengthy leave form... Then talk to you parents etc. etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
Firstly, I chose LPU majorly because of the availability of CSE branch in BTech because there is a huge crowd when it comes to CSE. I think the curriculum here is pretty good... You get your assignments on the UMS platform... And a lot of competitions and workshops happen regularly which are very helpful at times. I think the area of improvement could be bringing more practical explanation into the picture... That would help a lot. During the first semester, I felt that the frequency and timings of exams is very fast and it will be very difficult to handle but now that I am used to it... I feel a little pressure is also important so that we can push ourselves to be better.
Fees and Financial Aid
I personally feel that the fees structure is quite affordable for the middle class because for the same course, the fees of other private colleges is very high. The complete cost comes out to be 4-5 lakhs per month including tuition, hostel and mess fees and the money for the assignments n all. Before admission, we have to give an example called lpunest and we get scholarship according to our scores ranging from 15 to 30 percent.
Campus Life
There are a lot of annual and technical fests that happen every month... Like One India which recently happened which was like a major event throughout the campus. We had winner and runner up from Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh respectively and they were given numerous prizes. We have a whole lot of sports here and there are also fees waivers if you're good in sports and win competitions for college. We have a lot of clubs based on technical skills, soft skills and management skills.
Admission
Eligibility criteria was not very complex. You just had to enroll for the application. You get scholarship ranging from 15 to 30 percent based on your 12th and jee scores. You can also give the exam lpunest and you will get scholarship based on your scores. The earlier you get enrolled, the better will be the scholarship. I personally took admission a bit late so I got only 20 Percent scholarship but the students with the same score as me got 30 percent scholarship because of early admission.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is pretty good ... Because even if we have a huge number of students... the faculty number is just as par so the teachers don't try to rush teh syllabus. The teacher's approch is good... And that's what I'm saying for the teachers that I personally knew till now in two semesters. The interaction with teachers is easy... We even have their seating arrangement at lpu live so we can just message them and then go there to clear our doubts.
