Likes
- There are many clubs and social and cultural activities happening in campus. Such as E-Cell, Hallabol, Iv Labs, Iridesence, Shadow club, Tolly dance club, Grooves, and many more. THe college also have one student body which conducts festivals.
- There are many big buildings in the campus, one is CRC which is class room complex in this building all the classes happens and another one is Academic building where all labs and high end equipments are kept.
Dislikes
- I don't like the quality of teaching. The Porfessors here take the courses lightly means they don't give that much attention to the college students.
- I also disliked the coding atmosphere of our college we don't have an exclusive club for coding and coding is being taught to only students of Computer science and not to other branches.
- The campus also have mess which serves bad food. The food quality is not upto the mark and the food serving workers are also rude to the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is not updated. We now also learn about the manufacturing methods which are outdated and non of them will be now used in the industries. And also they have not added newly updated techniques in our curriculum. We get less practical Knowledge. Teaching methods are also outdated.
Internships Opportunities
The VNIT College has quite less opportunities for internships. The Training and placement department of college handles the internships . They are not effective as such. Only 5% people get internship here. And those people who get the internships also get the PPO.
Placement Experience
Placements are perfect for the Mechanical and Computer Science branches. Other circuital branches also have dashing placements like Electronics and Electrical—Avg package of around 7 lakhs. Oracle, Exxon Mobili, Bajaj, TVS, and Varrock, are some companies visiting campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
VNIT has special fee waiver for category students. SC/ST students get about 80% waiver. And the tuition fee is around 160000. Mess + accommodation fees is around 40000. And also there are other fees added like library fees, swimming pool fees.
Campus Life
Campus life is too good. We have different different clubs which give different knowledge and experience. There are various ranges of book available in our library. There are around 1 lakh books in our library. We also have all the sports and swimming pool.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel and mess facility are quite good. We have hotel type hostel. Single person single room. They are quite affordable, 40000 per 6 months. Mess food is also good given 3 times nonveg in a week. Many people stay in hostel only no one takes room or PG outside campus.
Admission
Cutoff is about 90 percentile for the college. The admission process is quite easy and smooth. You can get admission form on VNIT Official website. Yes there is reservation available for category students.
Faculty
One faculty handles a class of around 60 people for some departments and for the departments with less number of people One faculty handles a class of around 100 people. Most of the faculty are graduates from the same institute and not up to the mark. We get to interact with them ofenly.
