Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course curriculum is same as any other college, it's ancient, 40-50 years old curriculum. Electronics and Communication engineering is the toughest branch and you will have more hard questions than any other college. You will suffer for cgpa, if you won't study judiciously Like you have to give a whole month before end semester exams for the preparation to score well and get good cgpa

Internships Opportunities

3

All the internship opportunities are sent by the college training and placement cell through college email id. Since there is recession going on, tech opportunities are quite less, though non tech opportunities are intact and good . If you want to grab an on campus internship, get a cgpa above 8 .

Placement Experience

4

From past two years, due to recession the placement opportunities for tech are declining rapidly. But the non tech opportunities are good enough and you can get one easily. In the year 2023-24, placed students were only 55% and In year 2022-23 , it was 85% Before that , it was 100%

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of the college increases every year For example, in the present year 2023-24, the fees is 2,29,000/- for the the years . And the fees for upcoming year i.e. 2024-25 would be 2,40,000/- Students studying here, are suffering to get scholarship, they have not provided the scholarship since last two years and college doesn't provide any kind of financial assistance. For BTech there is not much campus employment opening. But for mtech and PhD students there are many openings like professor assistant etc.

Campus Life

4.5

There are so many different type of people in the college and so is the groups , you have to find the group which suits you the most , there are students how gi clubbing, and also there are students who doesn't like clubbing that much or drinking, smoking etc. Talking about the infrastructure, it's quite good and improving every year You get fully air conditioned halls for 1st year From 2nd year , the classes are conducted in blocks where renovation is happening, many classes have been converted into air conditioned and really appreciable infrastructure. Soon, all the classes will be fully air conditioned. Also, all the practical labs are air conditioned.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels are a go to option if you live far away from college Since the message food is quite good compared to the pgs food etc. Pg food is literally bull shit and you will starve yourself every day. Since I have stayed in pg , I have the experience Also you can make really good connection in hostels, which is not possible in pg

Admission

In my case, the admission process was very smooth since it was all online, but now the admission rounds are done offline. Spot rounds are also offline. You have to submit all the required documents such as 12th marksheet 10th marksheet, if you are using a quota, then you have to submit its proof etc.

Faculty

2

Professors are well qualified, but only few of them are actually interested in teaching For example, you will get only 1-2 professors each sem or even less , whose lectures you would like to take. Else everyone does formality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
