What Students Say

Likes

college has verstaile culture and student also participate a lot in it
College do support many extra circular activities
college does have great sports facility.

Dislikes

College does have overcrowd and college feels like a market.
college have strict rule of attendance
college pressurize alot on student for assignment.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Talking about courses, it is good compared to another college because we do have many industry-relevant courses. I am a B.tech CSE student, so in the first year itself, they teach us Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C, so they are industry-relevant, but there are many courses that are not industry-relevant, such as physics, ece, mechanical graphics.

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 172000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Actually, I don't have much information about this because I am in my 1st year of college and I haven't gotten any internship opportunities right now. Maybe in the future I will update it, but there are many senior students who get this opportunity.

Placement Experience

Placement is the most hot these days, so yes, there are many students who got placed at LPU, so in terms of placement, LPU is good, but because of the crowd, there are also big chunks of people who don't get placed, which is a sad part of LPU.

Fees and Financial Aid

Ok, so I got admission at a very reasonable rate because I have attempted lpunest exam, which is conducted by LPU itself, and because of that, I got a good scholarship, and my 4 year tuition fee is Rs. 672k. but the main expenditure is on hostels and mess, which contribute approximately Rs. 135k per year.

Campus Life

4.5

Club and cultural programmes happen almost every day; in fact, there is one building for those things, which is called the student welfare wing, where students showcase their cultural skills and practice them.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels of LPU are the most secured and also clean; at least in my case, their is regular cleaning going on, and talking about security, it is fully secured. There is no curfew time for boys, but for girls, their is curfew time.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

Ok, so the admissions process was very easy. Anyone can get admission to LPU; they just have to make sure they have an aggregate marking of 60% in their 12th board exam. Then they will get easily Just visit the LPU site once and provide your number over there in registration they will automatically call you and explain the process.

Faculty

2.5

In a class of 68 students, there is 1 teacher, and yes, she is accessible, but there are some teachers who are very rude and don't behave properly towards students, but their are many teachers who are very kind, and mostly all of the teachers are PhD holders, so all of them are well qualified.

Supportive faculty and a good learning environment.
Variety of activities and opportunities for overall development.

Dislikes

Some administrative processes can take more time than expected.
The campus can be crowded during peak hours.
Hostel and mess facilities could be improved further.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical concepts and practical skills relevant to the course. It provides a good foundation for real-world applications and further studies. Exams are conducted regularly and are generally manageable with proper preparation. The curriculum could be improved by adding more practical projects, industry exposure and updated topics.

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
