My View on my college: Sri Venketeshwara College

I choose this course because it can provide me a platform with relevant study material for my future prospects and plans to pursue my career in charted accountancy. Curriculum is prepared by the university of delhi which makes clear understanding of the concepts and gives some relevance to the real life scenarios and make us understand the concepts of real life markets and business. Exams are held at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty which can be cracked with mild preparation apart from that students needs to perform well in Continuous Assessment and Internal Assessment as they are part of practicals.

University of Delhi provides courses with affordable prices with an average fees for a specific course comprising of around 8k to 16k per year. Apart from that students need to fill up their examination form which is around 1500 per semester but apart from having low course and tuition fees cost of living in Delhi makes it difficult for students to manage funds, a student requires around 12k to 15k rupees per month inclusive of rent to survive in the city depending upon place you're residing in, metro and transportation charges may also be induced which can hike your per month allowances to 18k.

Sri Venketeshwara College have annual fest every year named NEXUS its a three day event which comprises of Live bands and artists on Day 1, DJ night on Day 2, and Star Night typically a bollywood or hip hop artist on Day 3, apart from that many student owned and corporate stalls are placed in the campus. Library of SVC comprises of books of varieties from languages to different domain course books are available in the library. students can issue these books for themselves. Apart from typical classrooms ICT Labs are there in college. Sports like cricket, football and basketball are available with a well maintained cricket picth and football ground. Societies like dance, drama, poetry, music are there in college giving students and NGOs like NSS are there in college.

Eligibility to apply for my course B.Com (Hons.) requires CUET examination with any 1 language + accountancy / mathematics + any 2 domain subjects. Apart from the candidates need to register themselves on the common seat allocation and application rolled out by university of delhi. Fees for CUET Form depends upon the numbers of subjects opted by the candidate. Fees for CSAS Portal is 1500 for a general candidate. Reservations are provided to candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST AND EWS. CUET exams are generally held in the month of may and june with syllabus of class 12th and have a moderate difficulty. Admission process is lenghty with students need to wait for around 2-3 months for getting a seat in DU. From giving exams to making a preference list and allocation of seat takes so much time, it can be improved with speedy updates and making servers faster and capable to handle traffic.

Sri Venketeshwara College comprises of top notch educators with some of them having Phd in thier fields, faculty to student ratio is quite low with makes interactions with faculty easier and makes classroom more fun and exciting. Faculties approach to study is unique and fun with having quizzes and roleplays in classrooms and making students understand the concept.
