- Good Infrastructure, Big Campus, Different types of class rooms for different lectures, More canteen areas, Big Library, Good environment, High security, Mall for shopping, Hotel for guest stay, Free service in hospital, Events in the college.
- No classes on Saturday and Sunday this is most favourite for all the students
- It's trying hard to bring best companies in placements, even the situation is worst outside.
Dislikes
- University management cases that will cancel the scholarship of students this will happen if we done anything wrong like cheating in exams and caught, fighting with others in campus,..etc
- Most of the students don't like hostel food but there are more number of canteens to have food.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen computer science and engineering with a specialization of data science ML & AI. In our campus upgrad campus company is in collaboration with LPU to provide this course and this is the first time ever been introduced at LPU. I have chosen this because data science is a trend nowadays and the placements will be provided from both LPU and UpGrad Campus. The curriculum is prepared by HOD and the teachers will be following that and competitions and hackathons will be conducted in learning this. The teachers instead of following the presentation blindly, should provide examples on their own to make the students understand better. For every semester there will be one mid-term and one end-term. That will be happening every 2.5 or 3 months.
Internships Opportunities
Many startup companies are fine to the college for providing internships to students in the 6th semester and they will be providing the stipend also. The minimum stipend is 15k and the maximum is 40k. Many projects will be done and technical mentors will be helping in doing that.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, the students can be enrolled in placements. The students having no arrears at that time are eligible for placements. There will be a fee of 14000 to be paid for placements. Many companies visited recently like TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Carelon Global Solutions, course5I, Blenhim Chalcot, and many more. The average package of a student is 5-6 LPA. This time as the IT market situation is very bad, there is some decrease in the percentage. 40% are only placed. I have secured a job and I will go to that.
Fees and Financial Aid
I was admitted in 2020 and I got a scholarship amount of 35% and my fee after providing the scholarship is 72000 per semester. The scholarship is provided based on the LPUNEST entrance exam. The same fee will be applied for all the four years of my B.Tech. Now the fee prices have been hiked. For LPUNEST there will be a criterion for providing scholarships. For orphans, the university will provide free education but they will have limited seats. There will be part-time jobs that a student can do and offered by the University only. Students can apply for that. Now I am about to complete my graduation and I secured a job with 5LPA.
Campus Life
The annual and technical festivals that will be held in the university are One India and One World, and technical events like NASA events, gaming events, hackathons, and workshops. A huge number of boot and journals are available in the library for students. Every classroom is equipped with a projector, air conditioner, fans, and lights. Sports tournaments will be going on and an indoor stadium, gym, and swimming pool will be present for students. For students there are clubs to participate in that will be in a separate block division of students welfare. In that, a student can participate in their own talent club.
Admission
Eligibility for the course is you have to complete Matriculation, intermediate. The scholarship will be decided based on the previous marks secured in the public exams. The application can be done online at the lpu admissions portal. The candidate has to write an entrance test and to confirm the seat the candidate has to pay an amount of 10000 which includes an application fee of 500. If the candidate cancels the application he/ she will be eligible for a refund. The refund is also based on the time of cancellation. It will have some cut-off based on the cancellation time. Everything is good at doing admissions.
Faculty
Faculty is present sufficiently enough in the university, mostly for the main subjects or the core subjects HODs will be taking classes. They will be teaching well. However, for some minor classes and other subjects teachers will be like junior lecturers and they will blindly follow a presentation. For every certain group of teachers, there will be a HOD present and they will see their teaching and their presentations and notes. Students can interact with teachers easily. Previously students used to interact with teachers 24/7 in lpulive application but now messaging for students is disabled in that application. Only teacher can text in that.
