What Students Say

Likes

Environment inside the university is to peaceful
we are provided with facilities like supermarkets and mall
we can buy each and everything from inside only

Dislikes

education system is not so well maintained
Rules are a way too much strict.. security guards missuse their power sometimes
exams are out of syllabus so no fun for studying as you are just getting average marks only

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course is b.tech in computer science engineering with specialisation in AI and ML.. the course is good and syllabus is also good but not great... sometimes we feel that we and the core cse students just have the fees difference as we all are studying the same things

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Placement Experience

That i am not so sure as i am from 1 year but maybe in the 3rd year students start doing internships and placement are done in 4the years only i guess. the percentage of students getting placed is very less actually as only btech cse contains like 10,000 students

Fees and Financial Aid

My tution fees is 1,50,000 per semester but after giving the exam (NPUNEST) i got scolarship and my fees was reduced to 1,20,000. Hostel fees is 1,00,000 for 4 seater AC room and mess is for 40,000 so overall 15-20 lakh for 4 year b tech plan (transportation and needs)

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is great but we just need a little more freedom from those security guards who think the are the main role inside the campus.. rest is good. A lot of clubs are there and events are verry common

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are great actually.. rooms are painted every year.. mess is provided with average food.. the affordability is the thing as you have to pay like 1,50,000 in total for one year including hostel mess laundry

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is nothing but you have to be 12 th pass out. Give lounest exam and you are done. jyst google lpu.administration and you will get to the page. rest in almost every city they have some officices where mentors are available who will guide you will your carrees

Faculty

Teachers are highly educated and qualified for sure but some teachers like my ece teacher in first year (not telling her name but she HOD) she always try to dominate the students.. never gave us marks and we were helpless.. no one listened us and she succeeded in reducing our c.g.p.a

some claases can be more theroy oriented so more hands on activities and pratical sessions would be beneficial
during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is realvent and fairly comprehensive i choose computer science engineering because it covers importnt ares such as programming data structures data base software development and emerging technologies

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
