- The first thing I noticed when I entered the college was its magnificent and lush green environment.
Dislikes
- The class strength, I feel anything above 60 is too much and the slower students are left behind.
- Teachers are bias towards certain students and some students do not get a chance to participate in college events
- The teaching method of some teachers where they do not really have interest in teaching the students but just wants to rush through the syllabus.
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm really glad I chose Business Analytics in KJC, They taught us all that they can and to prepare us for when we graduate and start corporate jobs. I would have really liked it if they did more practical projects but I guess theory is important for an under grad.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from their 4th semester. Many companies like Deloitte, Amazon, Bergr, Walmart and Cognizant to name some came to our campus to recruit students. Though most students opted out of placements as they, including me, plan to continue further with our studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have noticed an increase in fees for the course I am taking since I joined in 2021. Now the fees for the course I took increased by 61% but I feel it is fair for the college as there has been a major increase in students intake from 2022 and the college being acredited A++ by NAAC. The college also offers students with job roles in library where students can earn a small stipend.
Campus Life
The college host many events where many college can register and participate. In these events there are many categories of competition. Like for singing events. Students can participate in group, solo, rap, beatbox, hindi, etc. The college even thrives in basketball competitions beating many other colleges like st.Josephs and Christ.
Admission
Students are eligible for this course have to complete two years of PUC from Karnataka state board or its equivalent from other states with 40%. Anyone can get an application form from the college website and relevant details. The exams that I appeard in were average as it was not too difficult for students who are a bit slow and also not too easy for a student to score a 100%.
Faculty
The faculty are well experienced experienced and qualified. Most of the teachers interact well with the students and only maybe a couple do not on many days but it's not like they do not every day. The HOD for Deptartment of PMS is really experienced and I really like how she treat her students.
Interview Experience
For the admission there was no GD or written test. There was only a personal interview with 3 faculty members where they ask questions relating to my background, course knowledge and achievments. The admission process was pretty simple for me as the PI was not really long it lasted only about 10 minutes. Did not really prepare much for the PI.
