Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My course is really good as it is to the point for the field it is for. The subjects as got except of the first year are definitely of the domain except of few and we get to learn new things and make projects for some which might be beneficial for our resume. Plus the subjects of IT and Computer Engineering is same but our paper is better so that's a plus point.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internship opportunities are there. Other than industrial internships provided by companies. College also provide internship to students in first and second years by releasing forms every semester. Coming to industrial ones, companies like Sprinkle with 2 lac stipend and Microsoft, Google and other companies do come in stipend range from 60k-1.5lac.

Placement Experience

4

Students becomes eligible for placement from 3rd year's 6th semester. Alot of good companies visit our college like Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs etc. Hights package international goes around 1.5 crore per annum and for domestic it goes 80 lakhs per annum. The average package is around 14-15 lakhs for whole college and solely my branch has around 20 lakhs per annum. These stats include off campus placements as well and around 60-65% people gets placed overall our of 2.5k students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee here increase around 10 percent every year, for example of it is 2 lakhs for first year, it'll be 2 lakhs 20 thousands for next year and same 10% increment happens for next year as well in compound way. Overall 4 years fees is around 10-12 lakhs which is still a bit low than IITs and a lot lower than several good private colleges.

Campus Life

4

The annual cultural fest is EngiFest which is definitely the biggest in North India and with the hype, artists like Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal has already performed in it. The tech fest is Invictus which is also good. The library here is big and there are journals and books available for the need. For those into sports, there are good extra curricular activities as the college team exists here which go in several other college's competitions as well. Society of several someone are here and active where you can be part and take some important POR which can be useful for your resume. The campus is big and you'll have a nice campus life.

Admission

Admission was through JAC Delhi, there are 2 types of quota other than basic reservations, Delhi state and Outside Delhi. Delhi state is the home state for which there is 85% reservation this the cutoff also gets lower for it than outside Delhi. The rank we get are on basis of the marks are secured in JEE Mains and the rank produced is used in counselling.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is fine but it majorly depends on the batch you are in. If you're batch is studious, teachers will be chill and there hardly will be any mishaps from teacher side. If you're batch is not that studious, then sometimes teacher can cause trouble on places like attendance, class work marks and even the stricness of checking and the grades it gives to your class.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
