What Students Say

Likes

The wide range of opportunities provided to students in terms of competitions, resources, awareness programs, expert sessions. The college allows students to explore their creative aspects by encouraging student participation in events.
Like the startup ecosystem the college developing
The various societies available such as UBA, IEEE, BIS

Dislikes

Rules that are irrelevant to the current generation such as dress code
Not allowing free communication with the opposite gender
Pushing certain aspects of the college on students

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is mostly amazing. Computer science and business systems is a course created by TCS to bring out computer students with business knowledge to the IT field. And it does so. The curriculum has interactive and insightful subjects

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 170000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college conducted Internsmela - an event that connects students and startups in need of interns. Over 50 startup companies arrived and interviewed over 300 students selected from an aptitude tests for roles such as Web developer, UI/UX designer, digital marketer etc

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement is pretty average in the college with an average package of 5LPA. Most frequent companies that offer cmapus placements are TCS, CTS, Wipro, Accenture, Zoho. The lowest package go as low as 2LPA while the highest package offered are 28LPA, 18LPA, 16LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 50000-70000 as basic tuition fee, bus fees around 40000 that vary based on the pickup location, other expenses such seminar fees, and placement fees around 40000, with a total around 200000 for a student per year.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is quite vibrant but come short off what one might experience in big universities and other colleges. Though the campus encourages community driven social participation, club activities, sports and culturals, it might be less enjoyable than what we expect them to be. However one can choose to enjoy life anywhere they go.

Admission

The admission process occurs theough TNEA counselling for merit seats. Management counselling is also available. I was offered the course computer science and business systems for the cut off of 185. While other courses such as CSE, ECE expect higher cut offs in the range of 192-198

Faculty

The number of faculties in small departments may be very less due to their recency which might affect the student's academic knowledge gained. However most lecturers incorporate a very friendly learning environment allowing students to learn freely

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

Likes

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career

I applied through tnea counselling. I had a cutoff of 189.5/200 and I applied for top colleges like CEG,MIT,SSN. I know I won't get seat in those colleges as my cutoff is not upto that level. Then I preferred for REC, CIT AND then SEC. My primary need is cse course. Even though I got seat in REC in ECE department. I had given upward movement in the counselling which got me a seat in SEC (CSE)....Read More
