Likes

The faculty here is genuinely very supportive and they are the masters of their subject
Various extra curricular activities and societies operate in the college.
Other than studies various opportunities are provided like internships.

Dislikes

The curriculum is very theoretical and nit practical. You just have to memorize everything.
Sometimes due to excessive number of subjects, you cannot focus on the main subjects
Teachers and the principal does not promote the activity of students going for extra curricular activities like theatre, dance, music

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very theory based and not practical based. You will have to learn all the formulas on your fingertips although there is no need of it. You have learnt all the practical knowledge in Excel but still you will have to learn it's formulas and write in your paper. Exam takes place twice a year.

Internships Opportunities

Various companies offer internship to students from this course. The role they provide is generally in the roots of Research and Development. Some companies are Deloitte , Edsmart, eys Educators and the stipend provided is from 5-20 thousand.

Placement Experience

The placement record of my college is quite good. Last year around 150 students got place with a highest package of 20lpa. Various companies like Deloitte, Byjus, Leverage Edu come in for the placement and take students from various course

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is very nominal as compared to other universities and institutions. Also financial assistance is provided to all the reserved students especially EWS students. They provide maximum services in minimum charges.

Campus Life

Overall the college is good keeping in mind it's atmosphere, social aspects and everything. Different fests are also organized in order to keep alive the enthusiasm among the students. Sports activities are also good. Library services are also good

Admission

The admission process is a bit lengthy because of the CUET examination you have to give. But once you have filled the form it is pretty simple. The cutoff marks for the CUET examination for BCom hons in this college varies from 700 to 800 marks and it differs from course to course.

Faculty

The faculty here is highly qualified in maximum number of cases. Although every teacher is very theoretical and not practical. They just want you to be a bookworm. But they are supportive. You can contact them anytime in the College premises. On an average for every 40 students there is one teacher.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

SRCC- Asia's Best college experience

Placement Experience:

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

A Detailed Review on ARSD College

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although, people say that B.Com doesn't have a great scope to it, I feel like there are many life lessons that we are taught during our college years. Since the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a rather great emphasis on practical learning. In our college, we are asked for presentations and group projects to promote learning and communication. The presence of SEC and VAC also helps you develop your soft skills, groom your personality and live a happy and healthy life. Exams are help at the end of every semester. There are a few guides and PYQs with the help of which a student can prepare for these exams. They are relatively easy in my opinion and do not require extreme efforts. Overall, it's a great experience and a great opportunity to learn so many things.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose b.Com because I am from a commerce background. It is an open college class held only on Sundays classrooms are good but washrooms are average. Teachers are experienced and well-educated. Exams are held on every 6 months semester wise you have to study hard to clear exams.

My experience at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College so far !!

To get admission into any college of University of Delhi you need to appear in CUET ( Common University Entrance Exam ). Cutoffs vary from college to college depending on how many students apply for that college. I simply chose SBSC over other colleges i was eligible for because it was the best option i had and since i didn't want to go to a girls college so preferred SBSC over DRC and IP and also over ARSD, SGGSCC and all other colleges at this level. I also got admitted in christ Bangalore ( Central Campus ) and Narsee Monjee ( Mumbai Campus ). But these institutions didn't seem worth it and Delhi University in general has a better reputation....Read More
