- the placements of our college is really good , the avg package for cse and related branches is almost 10 lpa.
- The college has a 75% attendance policy but that too with leniency , if you are getting marks in your subjects you will definitely .
- The college has its own entrepreneurship cell , which really helps in the overall growth of a student and its innovative ideas in the field of startup.
Dislikes
- The cultural events are not up to the mark, the annual cultural fest is utsaha vaibhava and the hostel fest is kalarava, if you want to have the best of the cultural and social events then thats not gonna happen in bmsit.
- The placements for not technical branches are not great enough , so do once think before joining one of the branches.
- BMSIT totally lags in the field of sports , there is no proper guidance for sports and a bit less enthusiastic crowd for sports culture.
Course Curriculum Overview
The subjects and syllabus are one of the best , like every since the first semester we are exposed to subjects like iot and till the third semester you can easily come across other subjects which are creating impact let it be ai or data science and amnay more.
Internships Opportunities
the college provides summer intership after the fifth semester and full time interships after the sixth semester, but it totally depends on the skillset of an individual cause there are not much companies coming on campus.
Placement Experience
In the class of 2023 , the average overall salary was 897000, with the highest placement of 4640000 , placement is the best thing about bmsit , the placements cell ensures that each and every student who opts for the placement gets placed in companies (mncs as well as startups).
Fees and Financial Aid
There are three modes of admission that is via kcet , comedk and the management quota , fees of comedk students increase by 10% every year and the management fees increases by a good amount, the kcet students do get scolarship based on merit and also need based scolarship that too via the government of karnataka.
Campus Life
the annual cultural fest is the utsaha which is basically held in the month of june and the hostel fest is called kalarava which is held in the month of december. the technical fest is the held in the month of march.
Hostel Facilities
There are three boys hostel and one girls hostel(which is approx 4.2 km away from the college campus), two of the boys hostel is for indian students and one is for the international students. The cost of accomodation is 142100 for the non attached washroom and 166100 for the attached and for specail rooms i.e for getting an accomodation in the international block the cost is 192100.
Admission
There are two exams through which one can get admission in this college one is the kcet exam which is for karnataka students and one is the comedk exam which is for non-karnataka students, one you give your exams and get the rank based on that there is a counselling process (mostly a three round process for comedk), according to your rank and preference the college you will get the college.
Faculty
Here comes the part where we are gonna talk about the faculties , let me tell you that its totally like any other college , there are faculties who are highly good in teaching and there are those also who literally dont know to teach thier subjects, ovreall this ratio would be around 8:2 , spme of the faculties could really make your life easier ,overall teaching is good i will say not that excellent.
