What Students Say

Likes

I liked the campus as everything is available in itself
Every student is given a personal mentor for their help
I liked the faculties also as they are focused towards student's future

Dislikes

Fees is very high for a middle class family
Nothing about the announcements of holidays is made clear officially
There are 9 to 5 classes daily so when should one study

Course Curriculum Overview

I personally think that courses offered are not so much relevant as in 1st and 2nd semester we are having Maths and Physics as compulsory to choose subjects, if we are selecting a carrer pathway that do not require these subject then why are these compulsory to study for everyone.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

A bunch of internship opportunities are available in the college. 4-5 companies come on daily basis in college for placements and students are given paid internships also in final year of their study.

Placement Experience

Placements are fine actually if you are a good student. For placements you should maintain 6.5 CGPA so that you can sit in a good company interview and package given are quiet average but the main condition is that you should not have any backlog/reappear at that time.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for CSE was 1,20,000 when I joined in 2023 but it has been incresed in 2024 by almost 20,000. The maximum scholarship available in CSE is 30% which can be opted based on 12th marks percentage or jee marks or LPUNEST exam. University also demand for extra charges for different tasks like placement services, moocs, seminars, etc.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is good actually but main problem is the time schedule like in 2nd semester I used to have almost 3 breaks of 1 hour each and for attending the remaining classes I used to sit idle for 3 hours

Admission

Firstly I applied for admission on the www.lpu.in then I recieved a call from their staff which was very helping and provided me all the information regarding the admission process and fees structure and facilities provided in University, etc. Then I applied for LPUNEST exam with their instructions and my result was out in my mail within 2 days and acco. To that scholarship is given to me and I submitted my documents online for admission

Faculty

3.5

There are a bunch of faculties always ready to help and most of the faculties are very good in teaching and a student can interract with teacher via class representative. I think that there could be a direct contact method also.

some claases can be more theroy oriented so more hands on activities and pratical sessions would be beneficial
during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is realvent and fairly comprehensive i choose computer science engineering because it covers importnt ares such as programming data structures data base software development and emerging technologies

Good campus infrastructure and modern facilities for students.
Supportive faculty and a good learning environment.
Variety of activities and opportunities for overall development.

Dislikes

Some administrative processes can take more time than expected.
The campus can be crowded during peak hours.
Hostel and mess facilities could be improved further.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical concepts and practical skills relevant to the course. It provides a good foundation for real-world applications and further studies. Exams are conducted regularly and are generally manageable with proper preparation. The curriculum could be improved by adding more practical projects, industry exposure and updated topics.

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
