Course Curriculum Overview
Computer Science branch was my favourite ever since as I always wanted to build tech. Our course gives us a visualtion of future and has all the ingredients to make us future ready as it's the tech people who will build business in next decade or so.
Placement Experience
Getting 20 lakhs job is not at all difficult at BMSCE as Big 4 have ensured that they hire students by giving them bonds of 5 years. Hence there may be lay-offs or attrition in IT sector but not in Big 4 and that is where maximum students from CSE branch are placed in those companies with annual packages of 15-20 lakhs easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees will stay the same as I have come through management quota and therefore no increase at least for me. Fees is actually not that heavy if you can crack the entrances and score well in them. For those who do well there also get other scholarships based on merit, religion, caste, and sports among others.
Campus Life
Annual cultural fest of BMSCE is called UTSAV and just lik it's name its indeed an Utsav as students who are participating gets free attendance for few days and hence maximum students try and register their names in that. Sports fest too is quite similar as competition lasts for almost 2 weeks before the champions are announced. Our college hosts annual sports at the campus as we have all sporting facilities like the cricket ground, football ground, volleyball and basketball courts and table sports like pool and table tennis.
Admission
Entrances such as Comed-K and KCET and a rank of below 5000 is the only way you can get in this college. Reserved category students of ranks up to 20k can claim their admissions here. Admission process takes 40-50 days as counseling and rounds keep on happening for 6-7 weeks and hence this take a lot of time
Faculty
Faculties for CSE are way too many in numbers and therefore the ratio must be 1:7 or at max 8. All are doctorate and are proper researchers. Most of them are 50+ but still their teaching methods are quite young.
