Course Curriculum Overview
The course of BBA is general for the first two years. During this course, you will have theoretical classes as well as two summer internship programs. As you enter your third year, you will have an idea of what fields interest you- Finance, Marketing, HR, operations, etc. You can then choose your electives for the third year accordingly. The college gives you enough time to choose your subjects according to your interests. Here is a breakdown of the assessments that happen in one semester at ibs: first two months of the semester: Classes+ MCQ-based questions Third month: Classes + mid sem exams Fourth month: Classes + group projects submissions Fifth month: End semester exams. This can be quite stressful at first. time management is they key here :)
Internships Opportunities
There is an annual internship fair held in the college annually- esperanza. Over 50 companies visit the campus to recruit students as interns. The students also have options to self-generate their internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
You get scholarships based on two aspects: 1. Previous academic performance (12th boards) 2. Per semester performance During admission, you have to pay a caution deposit of rs. 10000. this is refundable. The tuition fee is rs. 150000 per semester excluding hostel, transport, and mess fees.
Campus Life
There is an annual fest- trithi, conducted in the campus during the month of march The extra curricular events are conducted by the college clubs frequently in and out of the campus. They are fun to attend! The library is very huge, and the variety of books are good too. There is a separate library for the law school.
Admission
You have to have atleast 50% marks scored in your board exam. You can find the application form at their official website: ifheindia.org There will be a personal interview conducted for the candidate and the selection process will be based on merit and personal interview.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:65 on average and in my opinion, it is not that great because the teachers are unable to focus on every student individually. I would always prefer to sit in the first few rows to make a good impression, and also be able to concentrate better. I often interact with my faculty after the classes too. I visit their cabin to clarify my queries regarding the subjects. Sometimes I ask for their suggestions career-wise. I would also prefer you to make notes during the class, as the study materials are not shared till the date of end semester exams. Your evaluation in every subject will depend on the faculty. A simple trick here, make sure you prepare your projects exactly as per the guidelines given and stick to deadlines.
