Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

For first year most of curriculum is 11th and 12th for some subjects we get new and other things than 11th and 12th but mostly is 11th 12th based. For 1st sem we had C Language and for 2nd sem data visualisation and preprocessing type of subject which were new for us. For 1st year I don't think so the curriculum really influence you for real world application, i need to wait for it for more 3 years. I think there is no need to improve curriculum because almost all aspects were cleared. Total 6 exams in one year, for 1st sem 2 midsem and one end semester exam. Gap between midsems 1 and 2 is generally one month or less. Similar for second sem also. Difficulty level of midsems we call it T1 and T2, is medium to low whereas endsemd are quite difficult because it covers whole syllabus. T1 and T2 contains only those topics which are covered earlier and also T2 don't contain those topics which are in T1 so that's good thing about it.

Internships Opportunities

4

Recently I have completed my 1st year so I don't have that much knowledge about interships but yes our college provide internship from 3rd year, some of them are salaried also. We have field visits also to experience new things in business.

Placement Experience

4

The highest package was 50.5 lpa for 2023. Not all students are interested in placement so placement ratio is quite low. Avg package of computer engineering branch was 17 lpa. Lots of companies visit our college. Last year approx 200 companies visited our college. Companies like whipro, semens, TCS, axis, etc often visit our college

Fees and Financial Aid

As I have EWS seat my total academic i.e. college fees is 125000. Tution fee is 15000 thousands and remaining is other fee. Be aware you will only get benefits on tution fee!!. College provide lots of scholarships and most of them are for women and for backward classes. General category barely get any scholarship. College also have mahadbt scholarship which can be used by all students. My hostel fee is 45000 and additional 10000 for deposit this all is for one year. For mess your bill will be most of time less than 5000/month. College don't ask for any money for exams, events, etc.

Campus Life

4

Mindspark, impression, psf, zest, gathering and more are the fest held in our college. All are typically for 3 days. Mindspark is held in month of pOctober before endsem. Impression in December, psf and zest in month of January and gathering in February and March. This are the times in which event was conducted in our time. We have central library it has lots and lots of books from very older to fresh, most of them are educational and life story based. Each classroom have projector, smart tv screen, and sound system. Zest is a annual sports event held in our college, where students from various colleges come to participate. Our college is famous for clubs nearly 50 clubs we have ranging from technical to artistic, from history to modern science, this clubs held there exam for volunteering. Recently we have social internship in summer vacation of first year helps us to analyse social issues, etc. and our campus gives it char Chand.. campus area is free with beautiful buildings.

Admission

I get this college through mht-cet held in Maharashtra as well as out of Maharashtra but there is special reservation for maharastra domicile candidates. My percentile was 99.67%ile through which I get EnTC branch. For open category 99.7%ile was the cut-off for EnTC. In the month of May the exam is held in a week with number of shifts, it is online exam with 150 questions. You can know more about it on mah-cet website. College have reservation for all categories like obc, sc-st,etc.the cutoff goes low for this categories. The exams are really very simple and they are even more simpler if you were preparing for JEE and for some reason giving MHT-CET. The syllabus of the exam is 12th HSC board only. After you get the results of cet then CAP rounds are held which is a type of counselling for college allotment it has 3 rounds in each round you may get your better preference according to your percentile and rank. Alter allotment pn cap you have confirm your admission in college offline.

Placement Experience:

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20, and most teachers are quite approachable if you meet them during their free slots. I really appreciate the senior professors in the core departments because they have deep subject knowledge and explain concepts practically. However, some newer faculty members tend to stick strictly to the textbook or slides, which makes the lectures a bit dry. Since the college follows the SPPU pattern. I chose this course after a long CAP round process. Initially, I was aiming for VIT or DY Patil in Pune, and even checked out colleges in Mumbai and MVP KBTCOE in Nashik, but I ultimately landed here at AISSMS. The curriculum is quite comprehensive for building a strong engineering foundation, though I feel it could include more industry-relevant tools and coding workshops.

Placement Experience:

The placments are overall moderately good especially if you are from electrical branches including Electrical , Electronics, Computer, and Instrumentation Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. From third year onwards internship season starts where companies visits our campus and students need to go through online tests and series of interviews for each companies to get offer where the students selected for offer need to attend the internship after the end of third year in may and june when college have holidays. Similarly Based on performance the interns may get full time offer as well. Full Time Placement starts in final year and the process is exactly same where the interviews are mostly online and the students placed gets the offer letter. Almost 90 - 95% of the students especially of above branches gets placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the Computer Engineering is all about core subjects which are really helpful for future like cloud, iot and Database etc But the syllabus of the university change after every 4 years and there is nothing but removing one subject and add another similar subject but I think in era of Ai and automation the syllabus is sort of outdated like if you are getting in Second year you have to learn subject which you have not interested in so you have to learn those subjects anyway and if you want to learn more about new skills you have to do it by yourself.
