Course Curriculum Overview

4

it was a good decission, yes I absolutely agree, they conduct many class assesment tests, midterm and endterm in each semester but once you will get used to it, it will be okay. By the way i like the method of taking tests and end term specially in programming subjects , unlike other colleges who takes the test on pen and paper in programming subjects too, here they take tests and exams on online platforms.

Internships Opportunities

3

Some companies visits to hire students for internships too , you can give interviews for that too and get paid internship in companies which can also offer job after your intership if you perform well.

Placement Experience

3

Yes, they provide the campus placements. Many companies come to our university for placements, It's on yuhow you've done your preparation and have you learnt all the coding skilks or not. yeah, I agree that they don't offer much but, some of the students got high packages like 60-70 lakhs too.

Fees and Financial Aid

University has its own scholarship test which is called LPUNEST, throigh which a student can get up to 40 percent scholarship on your course. It gradually decreses phase by phase the admission occurs. Like in my case I got 25 percent scholarship through LPUNEST after the scholarship my fees is 90000 rupees per semester and 4000 examination fee per semester which is totalling to 188000 annually..

Campus Life

4.5

you will enjoy college life, here you'll find many students coming from different states and different countries too. You can make as many friends as you can. Here you'll also find A division of student wellfare wing which has more than 100 clubs which you can join and improve your side skills too.

Hostel Facilities

3

I will say above average in overall. But It is better in terms of security specialy for girl students. there are two tyoes of hostel one is hotels and other one is apartments .....the basic difference etween these two is peace , You'll get more peace in apartment as there is less rush than hostels which has the most.

Admission

admission process is pretty simple you can take admission by just sitting at your home, first you have to apply for admission on admission portal of LPU. Then there will be two option to give the scholarship exam one is online mode and other one is offline/centre based exam. after the scholarship exam result you can take admission by paying boooking amount to the university. After that you have to upload all the documents that university will ask you , if you don't upload before coming to university ,it'll be very tough to submit all the documnets physically and more likely there would be student's rush to submit the documents. So , I'll advise you to submit all your documets online before coming to the university.

Faculty

4

Here faculties are good, except some who usually applies there own rules in classes like to sit according to roll numbers etc, otherwise it's alright. especially pubjab side teachers are not that good in terms of teaching. they are very helpfull if you don't get nything in classes , you can go to them after classes in their cabin for any doubts.

Other Applied Colleges

NMAM Institute of Technology - [NMAMIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I was prefering north side college more at that time.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
