Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum at VIIT Pune is well planned and is much more comprehensive. It offers a wide range of curriculums to choose from. I chose Software Engineering because it has better scope in the future and is flexible in nature. The curriculum is curated for technical fields with a practical real-time approach. In total 4 exams are conducted per year 2 per semester. 50 percent of marks is from internal, which includes project making, submission, etc. and rest with examination (written).
Internships Opportunities
Internship programmes take after 3rd year of academic years. It ranges from few weeks to months and the elgiblity criteria is based on company requirements. Highly technical skilled students are considered first and maintaining a well suited resume is essential. Companies that visits are: Wipro Cognizant Tata Motors Tech Mahindra Larsen and Tourbo Accenture Deloitte KPMG Infosys These are the prominent ones which comes to our college.
Placement Experience
our college placement is good from few years back. We have dedicated placement cell for internship and placements of students. All the details about can be founded via viit official page 60 to 70 percent students gets placed on campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees hike occurs after other fiscal year. fees for open category ranges from 160000 to 200000. fees for reserved category is reduced less than 30000 per government norms. My fees is 107890 due to EBC category -economically backward. sc/st = 6610/- obc/ews/sbc = 107219/- tfws/vimukt jati = 29828/-
Campus Life
Different events take place in our viit college. Main one is Gandhrava which is a 7 day long fest programme they are held after sem 1 usually. Ample amount of books is present of various fields in our library. The provision of sports and equipments, grounds is little low due to small campus size. Yet the competetion event is organised and managed efficiently.
Admission
for the admission process, the cut-off is determined through the MHT CET Examination As per the rank, the course of the individual is determined, All exam-related requirements can be found on the MHT-CET official page. The level of the paper is moderate but a bit lengthy.
Faculty
varies by department, in some specialized programs the faculty-to-student ratio is good and favorable while in some popular courses such as CS, it the ratio is higher. lower the ratio it would be better as it would allow personalized attention to each student and the student-teacher bond could be more friendly and tailored. Faculty`s credentials and teaching methodology: Some teachers have advanced degrees and have many significant years of experiences. Their strong background makes their teaching more depth and rich understanding. Whereas some teachers just come to take their salary process. Interaction with Teachers: Some reputed teachers are friendly and ask their respective students to meet after the class, providing guidance related to any topic. Guardians are introduced which are special teachers who take care of students' problems in personal life matters.
