ICEM for MCA is good or bad

The course provides a good foundaton in computer applications but i think it is heavy for a theorotical subjects like MERN stack should be practical subject , Django should be practical subjects. The difficuilty level is good but it needs to be revised so that a teacher able to complete everything in that subject with practical implementation . Focused should be on the practical implementaiton like while teaching having one project for the subject taught by the teacher,etc.

No direct placments are there .The companies came for the intersnhips and afte the suucessful completion PPo is offered like Crowdstrike given 30000 per month stipend for 6 months later given 12 lpa PPO offer. Also Delta Capital company given 22000 stipdend , after completion 7lpa . Vanderande given 30000 stipend for a Data Anaylst role with 8 LPA package.

Placments are really good like 4 students got 12 LPA at crowdstrike after successful internships. I think in our class 20 students got placed from college side and i think it can be improved , the college should give more freedom to students for their preparation rather than focusing on attendence Good companies like Delta Capita, Crowdstrike, Vanderland, Winspire Solutions came to the campus. The placment usually starts from 3rd semeser .

The fee structure for the ICEM, Pune for the MCA course is around 1.5 lakh per year.. But I was under the TFWS so I paid Rs 20000. Governement scholorships are also available. From my knowledge I guess Hostel students who belongs to the OPEN category recieves the 50% of the fees refund . There is also lesser fees for the girls like Maharashtra government has made the educatinon free for the girls , so they only have to pay aorund 20000 , I guess, there tution fee is also get paid by the government , There was a friend of mine who had taken admision through by paying the donation around Rs 150000 and a First year fee of Rs 150000. So in the second year he was told that he can also have the scholorships which will come in the college account for about 40000.

Campus life is moderate as it is located in the village area , parandwadi. The college organized technical and cultural events usually between october to december . Classrooms have digital screens and new infrastrucure with cameras and all. Everyhting has been renovateed in 2025 and it makes the environment very good. The MCA has hosted TechFest in which we organized web design and coding competions. The sports acitvities are limited like the principal is so bad that he dont allow to see the sport matches of same class. The principal also dont allow to practice for sports . The infrastructure is there but there is no one to use it .

The Hostel faciltiy is good . Though i am not a hosteller. The fees is around 1.2 lakh for 1 year. MCA students are not allowed to stay in the second year . It is only for the first year. Also the meal is good not bad but coslty . The meal facility outside college is 1 km away as it is located in village . You can find 2 pg 500 metere away from college which has a rent of around 2500 to 3000 rent for a shared room pg. Along with that there are rooms avaiable in the village as well. I pay 4500 for a 1rk room. As well my friend are paying 9000 for a litlle big posh 1 rk rooms. The rent may vary according to the owner.

I chose Indira because I got it on the basis of my cet score of 98 percentile for a TFWS seat and another reason was my senior was there from my city and I asked him and he said it is a very good college with respect to the placments. The colllege is literally good with respect to the placements compared to other lower colleges . Crowdstrike has given 4 students 12 LPA . My admission process was smooth . I didnt have the online money, I had cash , one teacher helped me and paid online fee. If I didnt get this college , i think i will be doing MCA at other college like JSPM.

The overall experience with the facutlry is average for a technical course like MCA. Everything is theory oriented, though they teach on the digital screen but they are not able to have a benefit of it . I know one teacher Poorna Shankar. She was the only teacher who has given her 100% to the teaching with practical teaching . She used to teach us Generative AI subject. There are teachers name shreya mam , hetal mam who dont teach so good. There was a teacher Pawar sir who just used to have timepass with the students. He has not teached his subjects complete . In the first sem he has only teached half portion. In second semester he taught MERN only one lesson taught and rest we did. and Next semester also advaced web technologies in the whole sem he taught only mongodb . My learning experience here was horrible. I didnt learn anything here. THe semester exams are not hard adn can easily be passed as it is autonomous college now.

There is a gym in our college that opens from 5 pm to 7 pm . Along with that there a sport faciltiy of cricket , football, basketball and volly ball. All the infra for the playing sports provided by the college like football, bat and ball and volleyball . We have nets for playing cricket . Good lights . And a good canteen as well. Library is not open till night it is open till 5 pm but in exam days it is open till 8 pm . The campus area is preety good and vast . The safety is also there as there are security guards. But the college is located in village area that makes the night life a little boring but a good air to inhale as well that makes body healthy.
