You can get admission from MHT-CET and JEE-Mains. You can check the official cutoffs at https:// fe2023.mahacet.org/ StaticPages/ HomePage . For admission through MHT-CET in computer engineering min. the score for the open category would be 185, for OBC 178.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is great. It is mostly GATE-oriented. We do have some unnecessary subjects but students can clear them easily. We also have interdisciplinary subjects which are necessary for overall development but at the same time, feel like a burden. We also have elective subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Around 25-30 companies visit for internship opportunities. They are mostly IT-based companies but also allow all the circuit branches to apply for the role. The stipend for the first 10 companies is around 75,000. Also, some companies like DeShaw and Arcesium give stipends of 1.5 lakhs and 1.25 lakhs per month resp.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students other than the general category get their scholarships from MahaDBT. Apart from this, the college receives huge support from the alumni association and industry. Students from all categories can get laptop support and scholarships for both college fees and hostel fees. Companies like Siemens and Cybage also provide scholarships.
Campus Life
There are more than 50 clubs in the college. The college life in COEP is great. We also have a boat club. Events are scheduled throughout the year. There are technical clubs for robotics, satellites, drones, rockets, artificial intelligence etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel campus is pretty good. We have bunk beds in the room with one fan. Four students share one room. The meal in the mess is quite decent. We have a billing system in the mess. You get your bill at month end and it depends on the number of meals you take at the mess. It bill ranges between 2800-3200 per month.
Faculty
The faculty members at our college provide a solid educatonal expericence, though there are areas of improvement. The faculty to student ration is resonable, allowing for soome personalize attention but sometimes limiting the depthof individual feedback due to class strength.
