Course Curriculum Overview
The course i selected offers exposure to both theoretical and practical aspects of electronics and communication systems. It offers subjects like, Basic sciences and math, Core ECE subjects and advanced topics like emerging technologies and ambedded systems. It also offers practical sessions providing hands on experience with modern equipment and tools.
Placement Experience
The placements in my college is said to be very good and the median package is said to be around 15Lakhs per annum. Companies like snapdragon, intel and AMD are the most sought after companies for ECE students. Almost 100% of the students who dont go for masters get placed inside the college. And even if they arent placed during the college placements, the college trains us enough to get jobs outside the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fee is pretty less for me as i claimed reservation of ST. It came upto 53000 INR for the first year and it might also be cheaper for the second year of the course. it also offers scholarships which return back the tuition fee of 25000 INR.(SSP scholarship)
Campus Life
There are two flagship fest in a year, one is Phaseshift which is a technical fest and the other is UTSAV, the cultural fest. UTSAV is known to be the best fest in all of south india. UTSAV is typically held in the month of may and phaseshift in the month of november. The library is well equipped with all the books and resources necessary. The classrooms are well kitted with A/C, Projectors and smart screens. The sports department of bmsce is well adverse and allows for students to expand their skill in various sports.
Admission
It was very smooth as i took admission through KCET entrance exam. The cutoff was 1800 for general category students and 32000 for ST category students. The admission process could have been better if it was done in a better place as we had to wait in a long hallway without proper ventilation
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is very good, we are assigned a proctor for every 15 students, this allows for a very good support from the faculty with regard to individual attention. The faculty available are all well educated and are open to new things. we can interact with them as much as needed and they dont hesitate to help.
