My 2 year review of DTU college

I basically opt this course just beacuse i need a tech open branch which this provided and gave a good tag so i dont really focus on this thing but they sure feed high level physics into you . I believe the course is apt but theres a need of conventional method for teaching which is i heard is taking place for new comers

I havent been part of any internship program yet but there sure are several learn and train workshops taking place which also provides you a job at the end. These programs helps you make program and enlight which project you should be doing according to your respective field

After 2nd years college run a internship program for 3rd years and placement after 4th year . I am not placed yet but sadly for my branch the employability rate is around 50 percent or lower this I want to pursue my career in tech and not in core which is why took this branch mainly as 80 percent of the tech companies which come to dtu is open for ep students Maximum ctc for ep student was 38.67 lacs for 2024 batch and minimum not mentioned You dont have to much worry about the companies because almost every company comes here

Fees is around 2 lacs 19k something or more and every year it increases by 10k or 5k To my accord it is definitely much higher for a government college and definitely should be lowered down but there are much scholarships based on your ranking , income group , and for different reasons too.

We all know about engifest it is the largest fest after iitd in delhi and is one of the largest in all over india typically held in winters and there are many fests that keeps on happening throught out the year like freshers tech fest and religious fests Dtu has a huge library with 3 flours and has almost every curriculum related books the books definitely have gotten older but theres always new book including to the list each year As for new building you get new and clean desks , white board , projector and A/C and 2 water and washroom facilties in every flour which is very cleaned and as for the old building all these facilities are included just the washroom part is not that cleaned and maintained Sports is very competitive in dtu especially in few fields like basketball badminton and football . I once went to watch badminton arena and if it had a entry fees it wouldve been worth paying and there are none societies for improving students quality life i heard there use to be one time

You take part in the counselling of this college via jac i scored 95.4 percentile and my rank was 50035 in jee and got this branch in my 2nd round i found the seat confirmation fees to be very high which was 95k at that time although it gets adjusted in fees but decreases your chances of confirming aur taking part in counselling of others

Faculty to student ratio is typically a lil higher than in schools 1 professor has to teach a class of 60( fyi im strictly talking about my branch and my personal experience it may vary for other branches) I dont think the ratio effects that much if you are a first seater and raise doubts its no problem Ofcourse faculties are highly educated and polished in their field but some might even take many leaves and rush the syllabus too which is rare I rarely interact with my teaches but almost everybody is easily approachable they even make their projects and launch societies with their students
