They focus on both studies and sports. They have 3 IA'S Internal Assessment exams

Dislikes

The main advantage in this campus is that it has too small campus.
Bus not available for all routes and transport fees are high.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the particular course ECE because I am interested very much in this particular field regarding building elections devices chup manufacturing and other electronics too. It has good chances in both government and or private field and even in Core companies as well as software companies.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 87000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college provide with intership opportunities with affiliated companies tied up companies which also come for the placements later. The college provide with internship recommendations and also industrial visits regularly after 1st year.

Placement Experience

The placements in the college is good. The Velammal itself is known for the placements and good academics. Even it has good placement records with 4.5 lpa average package and median package. The highest package received was around 10+ lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for my particular course is 87000 plus the additional for transport. Transport is kinda compulsory unless you live around nearby. There are scholarships available in the college accordingly for everyone even they provide with price money for high CGPA holders.

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the college isn't one of the best but we can say that it has good campus life not the best but yeah you can enjoy on your own...has two good canteens. It also has various clubs like NCC NSS and etc. the social aspects of the college is good.

Admission

There are two methods to join the college as it is affiliated to ANNA UNIVERSITY Chennai. You can apply for the college from TNEA counseling and as well as in management quota. There are fees difference for management students and Government quota students.

Faculty

The faculty members are highly professional and rich in Knowledge. The only thing is they are too bounded with the college with restrictions. The faculty members are kind and help you when in need. They maintain proper dress code for male and female staffs. Faculty mentorship is good and they have sessions for mentorship too.

you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

The admission process of this college was simple. There will be some free seats, General seats, reservation quota seats and Management quota seats. GOOD COLLEGE FOR TECHNOLOGY SECTOR

Eligibility for this course is, you should have cut-off 140 or above and based on caste it differs.
