Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is updated regularing to make sure they send out the best engineers to the world. I'm a student of 2022 and we are being taught the most updated syllabus out there. We are sometimes while being taught linked to the present importants in the field which inspire as to follow those up regularly and be the next one to bring the changes. Considering the exams and difficulty levels, I would say the duration are apt for any student and the difficulty is moderate as they brush through every important topics one need to learn to be a better engineer

Internships Opportunities

4

Top companies like Google, uber, zomato etc come for internships here and internships are provided if have the skill sets required for the job. I know a senior who got 1lakh internship package from Apple here. You can also work with your professors for internships in you own departments for stipends. This internships are available in the summer breaks after 3rd year.

Placement Experience

3.5

I am still doing my degree so haven't experienced the placement yet but my seniors told most of them get placed and my branch (ece) had a median of 12 lakhs and half of the applied students got placed. Many top notch companies like uber, apple, Microsoft, goggle etc come here the tech placements too. I think median of cse Is 20 lakhs plus. Highest was 1 cr from amazon last year. My plans were masters from the start. So highly unlikely I will be sitting for placements but if anyone's planing to sit, considering the no of companies and skill set you have you will get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees are around 2,00,000 yearly. Which I think personally is good for the faculty offered. Financial aid can be aided if u r from a minority or through scholarships. Dtu offers a price money to the toppers of each branch after every year and provides scholarships for students who can excel in their departments. You can avail internships in certain labs and departments depending upon your skills and academic excellences

Campus Life

4.5

This is my 5th sem going on right now and my campus life hasn't been excellent. I'm part of societies like ugv and ieee where we students work with our seniors and improve our skill set. Ieee has a entry fee of 1000 rupees. Library has a wide range of books available for learning and researching. There are newspapers available to for one to keep up to dated with their news. Engifest and tech fest are the main fests here. Engifest is the second biggest fest in India with a lot of celebrities (sherya goshal, sushant Singh rajput etc) coming and being a part of the fests. There are freshers fest as well. Classrooms have a projector where most of the teachers do their presentations. Sports facilities is unmatched. There are many sports ground like football, cricket, basketball, badmition, tennis etc. The sports faculty is nice too. There are sports fest inter and intra college which happens yearly.

Hostel Facilities

4

The first year's are provided non ac hostels (transit and aryabhata). The second years to fourth year's are given a choice of single sitter, double sitter (non ac) and triple sitter (ac). I stay in apj (ac) and the facilities and really good. There is a gym inside the hostel, a TV room, sports room with billiards and table tennis facilities. It's a newly built 11 floor hostel with each floor having a common washroom cleaned every day. There are cctv every floor to make sure everything's fine and warden take their job very seriously. The Fees for apj is 72000 per year excluding 34800 for mess that year. Non ac is much lower with 38000 per year. Only people far from college can avail the hostel facilities. Pj and appartments are available for students who prefer those nearby itself for a moderate price.

Admission

It's the same as in every other government colleges. Dtu has a reservation of 85% seats if yous are from Delhi. The cut off for my brach ece was last was 70k rank as far as I remember. So I think 96 in jee will do. All the application details are available in the site. After you get alloted you need to come to the college and then it's cakewalk

Faculty

4.5

So regular semesters as far as I know are taken by really top notch professors. These professors are PhD level proffesors who hasn't been teaching at a high level for a long time now. The summer semesters as I have heard are taken by associstive proffesors who are also PhDs but recently graduated. Overall faculty is not a issue of concern in dtu. The faculty to student ratio is good even though paper it might sound a little high. It is 1 : 63. They take their job really well and finish the teaching at least 2 weeks before mid sem or end sem. They correct the sheets and give out results on time too. The teachers make sure the concepts are reached to every student in the classroom and even conduct quizs and class test to grade the students knowledge. Overall it's one of the best you can get. As I'm from Ece, I can for sure confirm dtu has one of the best ece faculty in the country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
