Likes

The infrastructure is world class and the amenities provided by the university is highly appreciable especially the library,computer labs and other facilities. The university have tried their best to provide top notch learning environment.
University helps a lot in building extra skills in students by providing classes through clubs and these clubs has a faculty in charge which is also great. They help a lot in extra-curricular activities by providing duty leaves.
The college is very vast and diverse, you can find all kinds of students from every part of the country as well as the globe. So it provides the students a great opportunity to expand and explore.

Dislikes

The food provided in the hostel could have been better and the number of dogs in the hostel premises is also very high.

Course Curriculum Overview

The most liked feature of this college is that the curriculum is very structured and uniformly maintained. Everything is scheduled before and the classes and the exam is conducted according to the dates given there will no delay in conducting the exams or classes.

As Iam a second year student at Lovely professional University iam not well aware of the internships and the stipend they provide to the students but on an average students grab a stipend of rupees 10000 at their 3rd year of graduation. This is what I have heard from my seniors.

Placement Experience

The university provides the opportunity for the students to get placed but we all are very aware that placements mainly depends upon the skills and other performance of the students. The university provides all the students a great environment to sit for the placement. Mostly all the tech companies visit our college including Microsoft, IBM, Flipkart and on the other hand mass recruiters like cognizant,TCS and Infosys also visits the campus in which a high number of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees for btech CSE - 90000/semester Exam fees - 4000-8000/semester Scholarship for btech CSE - 30-40 percent/semester If you get umc case against you then your scholarship will be cancelled and you have to pay the complete fees of rupees 120000/-

Campus Life

The annual and other tech fests provided by the university is of top notch. They also provide all kinds of tech fests which are really helpful in a students life. The university library is very big and it contains all the books which a student requires. All kinds of sports and their stadium is provided by the university. All kinds of clubs and social groups are run by the students of the university and a faculty member is the head of each club.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are of different types which include ac and non-ac. It also comes in different seatings as it starts from 1 seater to 8 seater dormitory. The quality of the food is average. The hostel rooms gets booked very quickly so you should book at the earliest. PG rooms are available and you can choose rooms according to your likings and you will get it easily.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

You have to pass class 12th with 60% and if you have your jee mains score above 85 percentile then also you will get scholarship according to it. If your parents work in defence then also you will get 20% scholarship. The university also provides one entrance exam which is known as LPUNEST through which you can get the scholarship.

Faculty

There are mid to high performing faculty members. There are some faculty members whose performance are average but some are really great but all faculty members are friendly. They all are very comfortable in discussing our ideas with them. All the teachers provide all kinds of study material and all of these are very uniform and structured as all these study related stuffs are shared through the very own university app called LPU LIVE. Some of the teachers are very strict for the timings of attendance and some are lenient. The most important thing about the faculty members is that they cover all the topics at the given time as per the structured time table and if the faculties gets absent that class will be taken in the next Saturday.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
