Course Curriculum Overview

It's provided by the teachers at the start of the semester and there is an app which only provides The syllabus of that particular chapter and the remaining schedule will be told the hods and the teachers. This is how we access the course curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college doesn't provide an internship. We have to do an internship by our own out college doesn't provide an internship.

Placement Experience

Placements and job opportunity are very good but note it's good for tech computer science students not for all their are various courses provide by our college but if we come placements then only computer science students got more opportunities than any other branch student.

College Events

Our college celebrates various events like tech fest, engineers day and various other events like management fest and other cultural events are being celebrated in our college various nights are arranged in college like pita and 9x Tashan nights are being organised

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total expenses for college fee are ninety-six thousand and hostel fee is seventy-five thousand and transport fee is twelve thousand per year and there is an examination fee which we need to pay before final examination that's 720? and if you get supply in any subject you will need to pay 720?

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, they offer scholarships but for only 1sy year students. They will offer scholarships according to their 12 marks.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are good are compare to other colleges I have seen or listen yet our hostel is well maintained and clean a gym is provided inside the gym which is very good and has all the equipment required for workout.the food is also good and cleanliness is also maintained

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, we have alumni meet but it's not much help as the seniors come only to meet teachers they so there are not helpful.

Exam Structure

We have monthly sessionals twice in one semester and have finals at the end of each semester. During sessionals, we have sessional for around one week in which all the subject are covered and final exams periods will be 2 weeks and it's held at the college.

Admission

Simply direct entrance.If there are seats available they give you the seat without any entrance exam and something else the just take a deposit of 10k for seat reservation and if you don't want to take admission you will be refunded back the money.

Faculty

We can simply go to the staff room when they have free lecture and ask our doubts they are available in the staff room in their cabin we can talk to them whenever they are free.teachers are very polite and good .this is how we access the faculty of our college

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.

Likes

The most appreciated aspect was the quality of teaching in classroom. There were structured planning for studies and exam preparations.
The campus was peaceful and the college celebrated every cultural event very enthusiatically covering interest of students belonging from various traditional backgrounds across India.
There was wide spread interest both from students and faculty side for promoting extra cirricular activites and talent.

Dislikes

The way a student raises a complain can be improved.
To allot extra hours for extra acirricular activites.

Placement Experience:

Placements are great for tech and core domains. Alomost every students gets to sit in placement following the eligibilty critera. Many students get double placed and there is a placement policy which allows fare chances of placement to every student.

events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Dislikes

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

I like my couse btech with computer science because it has high change to geeting high paying jobs and to build a successful career with my opinion they can improve their faculty with higher education qualification

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
