Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum are very student-friendly and are changed from time to time to suit the student's needs. Exam difficulty can be rated from moderately difficult to very difficult. Teaching inculcated modern teaching methods to keep the process engaging, screenings of certain texts are held from time to time.
Internships Opportunities
Placements and opportunities were running smoothly until our placement co-ordinator resigned which has made the process a little irregular currently until someone else joins in her place. Our batch has just gotten done with our finals thus we are facing this issue.
Placement Experience
For other skill-based courses placements start after the second semester. For theory-based courses like ours, we can start the placement process from sem4 if we are able to manage the dissertation process and the internship simultaneously.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is better in terms of affordability as compared to other private universities in Kolkata. The Course fee was 1.5 however I received a scholarship that reduced my course fees to upto less than half. The Scholarships are granted on a merit basis.
Campus Life
There are a few clubs that I'm aware of, music, and drama clubs, although I wasn't an active member of any, I still participated frequently in events, dance dramas, and street plays. Technological provisions are up to the mark. Fests and college festivities and cultural events take place from time to time.
Hostel Facilities
I used the hostel facility during ug days, The hostel facilities were very good, non-ac rooms were spacious with sufficient washrooms for students and were cleaned regularly. The meals served were average. Security was well ensured, a bed, cupboard, and study table mirror were provided to each student in their rooms. apart from this, there was a huge dining table at the dining spaces on each floor. They charged 7.5k for such rooms.
Admission
The Entrance exam was necessary for others but since I pursued my bachelor's from the same university I did not have to take one. The admission process is relatively simple and gets done within a matter of a few hours.
Faculty
Professors have been very approachable throughout the course, in the classroom as well as after classes. So much so that students can actually consider talking out their personal problems with the professors apart from their academic issues.
