Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is designed in such a way that it has a mix of theory and practicals which brings excitement to learning. The curriculum prepares us well for campus placements as most of the questions asked by companies during campus placements have been taught to us either in the classroom, in laboratories, or in our internship. CAD Software must be included in the course curriculum for Paint Technologists as it is a major requirement for recruiters. A total of 51 exams(theory+practicals) in 8 semesters around 8-9 exams per semester, some subjects like TSRP and OR are very difficult while others are moderately difficult and some are easy as well.
Internships Opportunities
Some companies like Mankiewicz and PPG Asian Paints offer paid internships with stipends in the range of 15000-20000 per month, others are non-paid providing six-week internships to all the students. Projects are based on research and development.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester, students become eligible for placements Companies like Asian,Indigo,Berger,Nerolac Paints, Mankiewicz, MSIL, Yamaha, Hero,Varroc, Uno Minda,SSWL have made a total of 39 offers this year. HIghest package-12lpa (Asian Paints) Average Package- 8 lpa About 90-95% students get placed
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee increases flat @ 10% every year. I paid a total of 5,40,000 rupees in academic fees to the college Scholarship provided by UP State Government Rs. 50,000 per year is available but this year this scholarship was not provided to general category students.
Campus Life
Annual Cultural Fest-Adhyay held in April every year. Annual Sports Fest- AAGAZ held in March every year Technical Fest- Technika held in april every year The library contains thousands of books and you will find literally find most of the books that you want but the only drawback is that it is accessible only upto 5 pm. Spacious classrooms with smartboards.
Admission
Eligibility: Minimum 60% in PCM in class 12th and admission is based on a cutoff list of HBTU online counseling done based on rank secured in the JEE Mains Examination. You can find all the details about the application form, fees, and dates at www.hbtu.ac.in.
Faculty
Highly experienced faculty. The faculty to student ratio is 1:5 and it makes it easier for students to get their doubts solved. All the faculty members have completed their Phd in relevant field of study along with practical experience relevant for their subjects which makes it easier for the students to understand the complex topics. Faculy members are very easy to approach and we can interact with them via email when needed.
