- Lush green campuses, great infrastructure and placement records
- Faculties are quite good and well educated, they provide life lessons frequently
- Clubs and Societies are very active and serves good placement records
Dislikes
- No fests or major events, only freshers and farewell
- Strict timings and no anonymous student feedback on any topic. No air conditioners in class rooms
- More focus on academics than on skills. Leading to low salary placements
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is good from second year, but first year is a complete wastage of time and efforts. I think University should try to focus more on skills rather than books knowledge, and giving more focus on modern day subjects like artificial intelligence, data science etc. Curriculum feels like outdated
Placement Experience
The percentage of placements is higher but the salaries are comparatively less, may be due to recession era, but still a huge problem. This year highest package was around 34 lpa and average was 3-4lpa. Companies like Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, Commvault visit every year while some big companies like Google and Amazon arrive occasionally.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for first year is around 140000 per year and from second year onward it's around 119256. Scholarships are very well provided, and college informes about every scholarship. Financial support is given to students from EWS or to those who lost their parents
Campus Life
Campus Life isn't up to Mark. Major reasons include highly competitive environment, more focus on course Curriculum than on skills. Student feedback is a myth here. College focuses on sports but do not provide enough money to visit other colleges for competitions. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards, though outdated but still works well. Libraries are accessible by everyone with large amount of books including religious books as well
Hostel Facilities
First year hostels are the best, as they are mostly double seaters, It's a five story building, but the problem is there are no plaster or paints, only bricks and cement in the whole college. Even rooms don't have plaster. Second year hostels are the worst and food isn't good. Hostels are not affordable very costly and not air conditioned. Hostel provide all details for registration in hostels
Admission
85 percent plus is needed in PCM for direct admission or decent percentile if admission is through UPTU counselling. All details related to application and fees is provided on akgec.ac.in . I can't from counselling so there were no tests.
Faculty
They are a lot facilities, and they are quite good in their subjects. Most faculties are with Btech and Mtech degrees and pursuing Phd while being in college, while the senior faculties have PHD degrees. Interaction with teachers happen on regular basis but some faculties are quite strict
