In the foothills of Shivalik, Doon University

The subject distribution for our course as a 1 year student was good. I appreciate that even with the NEP we were able to have our all needed subjects such as conversation, grammar, kanjis and comprehension. These subjects are very well correlated which does not feels as if one subject is very on different level than others. We were able to study all the subjects simultaneously which was the most efficient way to study for us.

General placements are been given to the students. But only 50 percent of the students have recieved the placement with highest this year being 13.92L per annum and average of 3-4 L per annum. Generally the students go for off campus placement.

For the students who are taking admission in the 1st semester they have to pay fee 25000 but for other semesters it's around 17000. There are many scholarships which are for the ews category and also for the top 3 students of each class. The students learning languages also have scholarships, that if cleared they will be able to visit the country of the language they are studying which is fully funded. It's just that to attain scholarship one has to work hard .

There are many fests and club activities in the university and many workshops which helps students to open up and be better in the activities the are participating in. MUn, acting fest, dance ,holi fest many of thesw are continuously organised in the university which makes the university life much more fun.

The student who are taking admission in the doon University should have minimum completed 10 +2 , and should not be admitted to any other University simultaneously. Students who want to full time studying should not have any job. The cutoff of the year 2023 was 63. The admission process usually takes a month. There are reservations but only for the people of uttarakhand( sc, st, ews) 50 percent of the seats are reserved for uttarakhand students and 30.percent for women. The exam paper is pretty difficult but there is not negative marking.

All the teachers are well knowledge with a minimum degree in masters. Being a language student experienced teacher are necessary which helps us with better learning and understanding in the subject. All the teachers are hard working and helps us to understand everything with right rules. We also have kanji writing class which helped us get comfortable of kanjis while we were in 1st semester.
