What Students Say

Likes

Placement opportunities are higher.Reputated companies like zoho, hcl, infosys, accenture have come for the placement.

Dislikes

Except for placements this college is worse
Highly not recommended if applicant pursues to reach higher goals

Course Curriculum Overview

Electronics and communication engineering is the most important course in the field right now.It has various specs in it.We explore both electronics and communication systems. We are also trained to work in It sector too.Almost an ece student can do anything. Communications never grow old it will forever be in the market. They have all kind of equipments to help us to get through with it

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

By the end of 6th semester(3rdyr) students are eligible to attend campus interviews.Companies like Zoho, tcs, hcl, accenture have visited.Zoho made 3 offers. The other companies hire the best applicants. The percentage of placement is 90%. Highest package is 20lpa. Average package is 4-5lpa.Zoho package of 9.5lpa this year. My plan is to get placed in Zoho.

Fees and Financial Aid

If the applicant gets through with govt quota the fee is ?60000 per year.If through management quota a donation of more than 2lakhs or some times it depends on the course it may go upto 5lakhs(CSE) the fees per year is ?140000. If the applicant is first graduate and govt quota the fees is reduced accordingly to his/her performance.

Campus Life

No social groups. Nothing, everything is available for namesake even sports are inconsiderable here. Zonal level sports is available but the management won't support in any way.It is strict to attend classes rather than spending time in extra Curriculum which is more important.Library is quite with all kinds of novel and history books. There are many libraries as per the department's usage.

Admission

If the applicant had above 60% in JEE and other national competitive exams, admission is provided with scholarship. Mechanical, civil, eee courses are offered easily with the cut off of above 120 and management quota has no donation. For ece, cse, aids,It courses the admission cut off is 175 and management quota with donation of over 3.5lakhs. Application form can be find in the official vcet website.Exams are conducted quite frequently with a moderate difficulty

Faculty

Teaching faculties are the best. They are way more professional than school teachers. They are extremely talented.Takes effort to help us study.Interacting with the teachers is possible anytime during college hours and even you can call them off college hours and clear your doubts. They are very supportive.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

Likes

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. Likes

The environment is very good.its very natural atmosphere.
Teaching and facilitys are nice.we can learn very much.
The all facility is near by near .its a good thing.

Dislikes

The management is very bad.they not consider our students.
The fees structure is very different for all students.its too bad.and they decided the fees category is very cheep.
The hostel facility is not good.and also food its very bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually i like computer jobs. So i selected the course. Its very different one. Mainly programming. But its very interesting and valuable.cse computer science is a very high value course and i have lot of opportunities after completing the course. I.think in this types of course in curriculum they want to include practical sections more than text books.

I hoped for a Computer Science course in TCE. But I got a call from that college for an available seat in the IT department, in the management quota. During that time, I applied for counselling. I got placed in CSE, VCET through counselling. Unfortunately, I didn't get a computer science course in TCE. Yet, I had a place for IT in TCE, in the management quota.
