Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum at NIE is highly relatable to the industry with a strong focus on practical skills and applications. The course curriculum provides a comprehensive education covering a wide range of topics and skills necessary for success in the field.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements in every branch is very good as 80% of the students get placed from every branch and every year The average placement package is of 15 lakhs and highest package is of 55lakhs Students here are provieded with career councillors and also helped with the placement procedures

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure here depends on every branch, talking about myself, i am in the mechanical field and it costed me around 70000 per year with 2 sems in a particular year, covering all the other expenses and your library fees the total amount you can expect will be 1 lakh or less than that. I received a state scholarship of 25000 rupees The course here will be for 4 years which includes 8 semesters and the total cost for 4 years will be around 3.5 lakh but will not go above 4 lakhs

Campus Life

3.5

I am having an amazing time on campus, with a strong sense of community and camaraderie with the students I was heavily involved in saeniks club which helped me gain valuable skills and experience in problem solving Some if the older buildings in the campus needed renovation with outdated facilities and limited accessibility

Admission

I joined through a competitive exam called KCET which is of the state Karnataka in which the cutoff of mechanical field was 58000 All the details for the application will be provided at the office notice board, there is even a particular room for scholarships students

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio was around 1:30 for each class and the teachers were very engaging, whereas some of the departments had quite high faculty to student ratio. Professors here are highly approachable and available to answer questions, help with not only academic stuff but also with your life problems

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Placement Experience:

Well in case of placements it's not upto the mark because, As it's a Government college for companies there will be a zero promotion. One more thing is there is no separate funds to accommodate the officials came to the college for placements And the college is not working with 100% efficiency towards placements of students

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
