Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The practical aspect of the curriculum was the greatest reason for me to choose this course. Because it keeps you engaged and interested in your work. The theory part of this course is not of much significance. Hence the students should depend on the practical aspect and develop skills. More exposure to the industry may provide better view to the students and can make their decisions more clear regarding their career.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

I myself have done several internships during the first year of my college. The first one was at a radio station as a Radio Jockey. The second one was at a local news channel as a reporter. The stipend is normal at starting which is 5000 to 7000. The projects were the regular programs that were to be released during the internship period.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total college fee is 52100 per year. The tuition fee for my enrolling year was 35000. Once you've enrolled at a certain fee, the fees is going to be the same for the whole course. The total charges of the course is 52100 per year. There are several scholarships that a student can apply. Firstly, during the admission process, scholarship will be provided by the college on the basis of merit or on the basis of score in the entrance examination. After that several state as well as central government scholarships are offered for students to facilitate their studies.

Campus Life

4

There are several fests held during an year. The annual fest is called the alumni meet. A famous celeb is invited in the fest every year. Other than this, several technical fests are held namely AARAMBH and cultural fests are also held for example Nritya Samagam. Besides individual library of every college, there is a central library which is so big and has diverse books and journals which definitely draws a reader's attention. Sports and extra curricular activities are also given priority in this university. For all the sporties, there are several sport facilities including cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, boxing, swimming, swimming and horse riding and many more. Several societies and clubs are run by students. For example the dance club, USR club, and the music club which I myself am a member of.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel provides two kinds of rooms which are AC and Non AC. The room provided is decently big and have an attached washroom which helps to keep hiegiene. Besides this, cleaning facilities, mess, laundry and gym facilities are also provided along with the hostel. The menu of the mess is diverse and the quality of the food is also average. But some of the days you might feel that the food is not good. The hostel fees at my time was 85000 per year per head. One can register for the hostel during the admission process. In the Ganganagar locality, several rooms and PGs are available for students.

Admission

Eligibility of the course is 12th pass student with a score of atleast 50 Percent. The registration form is available on the college website. Otherwise you can go to the campus and then enroll while visiting the college as well. There is a semester examinations held every 6 months. Besides this, there are 2 sessional examinations which are conducted in one semester.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:4. This makes the learning and grabbing power among students better. All the faculties are well qualified with their masters degree and some have doctorate degree. Almost all of them come from the practical fields and have good experience and network outside the college. The faculty is easily approachable and interaction is very often.

Other Applied Colleges

IIMT Engineering College | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Because there is less scope in this course.

From 5th semester students become eligible for internship and jobs related to their courses. Department provides numerous opportunities and offers to students for enrolling in different internships and they help you get that. In bajmc I haven't seen any senior getting enrolled in a news channel yet but they do provide internship opportunities at other companies which may be alright. Most students get placed for internship somewhere or the other. My plans after getting the degree is to get back to news.
