KIT Kolhapur, BE

Reviewed on Oct 9, 2018

Remarks

Zero bad remarks. 100 good remarks. Now it is an autonomous college, just go for it and allow your career to grow and find the best studies. One of the best institute to make our career grow to the latest technology. Great teamwork by kit's staff and teachers. More supportive and helpful. Manages great events like Pioneer, which makes students talent to explore to its best.

Entrance Preview

Course Curriculum Overview

No doubt. All courses offered are best and latest in the field of each market ( eg electronic, mechanical, civil, biotechnology, computer science, information technology, production engineering, fashion designing, electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunications)

Internships Opportunities

I don't know about college internship they provide or not. If yes you need to check the colleges portal.

Placement Experience

Kolhapur institute of technology provides one of the best placement among all. It has separate placement department. Where students needs to enroll there education details as well as recent marks sheets. On the basis of percentage, placement officers allot the company to interview.

College Events

Pioneer of one the extremely talented and structural program held in kolhapur institute of technology. It allows students to explore there extremely talented projects, thoughts, participate in paper presentation, robotics wars, seminars, cultural programs dancing and singing.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not more nor less. Its best and affordable. Office staff very supportive, never misbehaved. They Give facility to pay fees in instalment. Also scholarships provided in college. One can apply for OBC SC NT. They get fees returned from government

Fees and Financial Aid

Campus Life

campus life is just awesome. Good space, lost of trees, fresh air, best stouts for studies, gupshup. gender ratio and diversity are well maintained. Strict rules against ragging. Lots of extracurricular activities, one of the best labs, sports early managed competitions like robotics, paper presentation, debates, seminars.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels facility is good. Well maintained and kept all things disciplined. Permission is denied Without identity card. Mess food is good. Instead of canteen i used to go in mess and have good meal. Fresh chapatis, two types of bhaji, dal and rice. Special day special food is provided.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

After passout some colleges don't keep in touch with alumins. But kolhapur institute of technology keep the record as well keeps in touch with alumins and senior students.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is simple and the best. Theres a 100 marks theory exam and 25 marks internal and 50 marks external. For final years students theres a extra 200 marks exam for project. If someone gets good marks in project, he can gain more percentages.

Admission

CAP admission process. I completed my diploma in industrial electronics from new polytechnic kolhapur. I scored 72 percentage. After that i filled CAP admission process form. Selected few choice colleges. From that choice kolhapur college of institute was at the top. After results i got admission to KIT

Faculty

Good and supporting faculty. They never any students go down. Theys always enchance their students to reach the goal and maintain their curriculums good. Office staff also supportive, never misbehaved. Gave facility to pay fees in instalment. Goof time

My perspective about my college!!

Likes

Such a huge campus and it is located not far from the city so bus and autos are always available.
Our canteens serves Misal Pav which is next level.
For a city like Amravati and a college like ours, having a tech fest is a dream but since 2022, we have been hosting a tech event called Techlons.

Dislikes

Crowd is not that amazing as most students are non-serious over here.

Placement Experience:

TCS trains us in the third year and L&T Infotech and TCS are the ones who hired students. Almost half the students were taken by these two companies with an annual salary of 6 lakhs or so. For a freshers to work in such companies is a privilege and I am glad, we get this opportunity at our college.

A Brief Theory Round Of Aissms College Of Engineering

Likes

The campus is quite big and there are proper laboratories for every subject , also the faculty is quite helpful and helps student to settle up and get along so that the teaching and doubt interaction is built up from the starting
We have metro station right outside the gate of college so the travelling is quite simple
It's also good to have a college stationary right inside the campus and with discount too!

Dislikes

The benches are small which kind off makes the students uncomfortable to sit for more than 2 hours in that space
Canteen hygiene is not maintained at all
There's no underground parking for students and lack of space for parking of two wheelers

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Aissms College Of Engineering in comparison to the other one institute of Information technology. I personally have even saw seniors getting placements when they were in placement round room. And looking at all the boards the college has put up and I can definitely says that the college does get placements and companies do come

Living and Learning at IIT Bombay: My Review

Likes

Faculty and teaching assistants are so friendly and are with great experience and wisdom.
Other than education many other activities take place like NCC, NSS, sports competitions, inter IIT competitions, etc.,
Ragging, student and gender abuse are strictly banned

Dislikes

sometimes we have to work till midnight for any tech teams, any assignments, etc., if the submission is not done in proper time. But faculty don't keep any pressure or stress on students to do certain tasks

Placement Experience:

Job placements starts from 3rd year 2 nd semester or 4th year 1st semester. Many Multi National Companies, like Amazon, Google, Sony, etc.,, come to hire students. Almost 70 % of the students get jobs. Atfer completing graduation, few people begin their startups and other businesses with the knowledge gained in the university.

Some departments here were really great like ETC and Mechanical with a unique culture going on
AIML and AIDS being new branches here are still doing their job very well for the students

Dislikes

The Students section not really tends to help ,as i saw many financially weak students facing the problem of 1 time payment fees and their request for part payments option is always rejected
Infrastructure is decent but in summer season the water coolers are just useless there ,no cooler will give you cold water

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some courses were to the point like IOT was well designed and DSA too with java programming side by side ,still as i said AIML is new branch and needs much enhancements ,the areas where they can improve was always practicals and labs those were always taken casual as i remember
