Remarks

Overall, it is a good college to study in. I have been here for 3 years and my experience is amazing. I would recommend more good students to take admission to our college.

Entrance Preview

Government College of Engineering, Jalgaon is a very good college in the North Maharashtra region. It is obviously a benefit for the students to study in a reputed government college. Along with being a government college, it is also an Autonomous Institute.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our college is an autonomous college, so curriculum is designed by the college administration itself. The design of the course is aimed at providing highest quality education to all the students with the vision of producing "Globally Accepted Engineers with Human Skills". Adequate theory and balanced practical courses are offered.

Internships Opportunities

Our college does not provide internship at the present moment, but we have PG program, M.Tech (Digital System). But the college is helping students to get the internships in other companies by providing them assistance.

Placement Experience

3.5

We have a training and placement cell in our college which looks after all the placement related activities. The TPO and their team are working hard to get every student placed and in the current year itself, the final year students are already placed in their first semester itself, in TCS.

College Events

3.5

Government College of Engineering organises various technical and cultural events during every academic year. Technovision- It is a State / National level paper presentation contest annually arranged by the institute consistently since last three years. This contest aims at providing exposure to the innovative ideas of students where they get chance to have peer discussion critical review by technical experts & possible implementation level hurdles. For converting innovative idea into product approximately 10-15 student essay papers per branch are presented in the technovision & prizes are given to the best paper from each branch. Abhivyakti- Abhivyakti is mainly an institutional event giving opportunity to students for exhibition of their singing, dancing, play, debating etc. Skills which are organised by every dept. This particular Abhivyakti programme channelizes the student energy into constructive art which helps in all-round development of the student. TechnoArena- Technical student festival TechnoArena is being organized at the campus. The Festival includes workshops on special topics, various student competition events, Product exhibition will provides a vibrant forum to all the stake-holders in the field. Be it students, faculties, experts, industries and organizations, for everyone it will be one of their most memorable events. Selected papers/essays, new findings/derivations and innovative ideas on various topics will be presented. There will be some keynote speeches also. TechnoArena focuses at conduction of annual festival consistently for last 15 years, which mainly focuses on providing a common platform to the student to exhibit their hardware/ software skill which included various competitions related to programming contest, robotics and circuit frenzy specific to the all 6 branches of the institution. Jallosh- It is an Institute level event in second semester of the year gymkhana organizes annual gathering jallosh, in which different events like drama, dance and orchestra were conducted. In Jallosh sports activity also included.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is not much expensive. For the current academic year 2018-2019 the fees for First Year was Rs. 83346 for general category students. Students of OBC, SC/ST category gets scholarships according to the state government schemes. As far as a government autonomous institute is concerned, this fees is feasible in my opinion.

Fees and Financial Aid

All the eligible students of respective categories are provided with scholarships by the state government. Students can apply for various scholarships schemes of the government. As I am belonging to OBC category, I apply for tuition fees and exam fees for OBC students.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life in GCOE Jalgaon is quite decent. More focus is given on the academics but other events, competitions are organized frequently. The college hosts annual sports in the month of march. Every program, event, sports in GCOEJ is live streamed on the official android app of the college.

The MSE shall be conducted for at least 50% syllabus after the end of 8th week while ESE shall be conducted for complete syllabus after the end of semester. Duration of MSE shall be two hour each and that of ESE shall be three hours or as specified in curriculum structure. There shall be five ESE in one academic year; out of which the first two ESE (viz winter and re-examination winter) shall be conducted only for all the courses of odd semester while next two ESE (summer and re-examination summer) shall be conducted only for all the courses of even semester and the fifth ESE (complimentary examination) shall be conducted for all the theory courses of odd as well as even semester. The admission procedure is quite simple. Students get admission in this college on the basis of marks obtained in the MH-CET or JEE Main entrance exam. Since it is a government college, the cut off marks to get admission is generally high, usually above 100+ in MH CET. After the college is allotted, students have to fill a form in college and pay the respective fees according to their category through online mode.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
