Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose the course because there is more job opportunity than other bsc degree. There is a exam called Iit jam so this course structure is set focusing this exam. Teachers are well. Organic exam is very difficult here so you need to study organic more. Exam held two times in a year. Before main exam there is two internal exams one held in offline mode and one is online mode.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a state scholarship scheme called swami vivekananda scholarship if you are a resident of west bengal.it gives you 20000 per year. And there is a scholarship called inspire scholarship which you can apply. Complete course fee is around 50000 rupees. There is no campus placement but this college holds high iit jam qualifying student record.

Campus Life

3

There is a one festival ia a year but the festival is not so grand. College students perform there and the function is totally cultural. Library facility is good enough so many books arr there. There is a seperate reading room also where you can study in your leisure period. There is no political party in our college so there is no chaos.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

3 bed is there in a room. You wiil get a bed and a chair table if you get a seat. Meal quality is giid and they are hygienic and tasty. Overall meal cost is 1500 per month. There is a playground in front of hostel where you can play.

Admission

You should pass the 12th and minimum 60% is required for applying. Application is totally Online. There is reservation benefits for sc st and obc student. In the time of application you should apply for hostel also. Every one not get the hostel facility but rented rooms are available there.

Faculty

4

There is so many teachers. In midnapore college there is two section morning section and day section. There is 6 organic teacher 5 physical chemistry teacher and 4 inorganic chemistry teacher. Inorganic teachers are the best. Organic teachers are not so student friendly.physical chemistry faculty is good enough. Well all the teachers are well qualified they have done phd and msc from iits.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
