Likes
- DTU is a great university with a good campus life
- Best thing about DTU is its seniors, they will guide u from nowhere to really every where. I still remember my first day at college, I met an CSE branch senior who showed me the whole college.
- It's sports complex, you can find students playing there even during late nights. Play whatever you like except badminton and pool because these games have got the most crowd there.
Dislikes
- DTU doesn't provide hostel facilities to everyone.
- Most of the professors don't come to class whole semester.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is designed in a good way, that you can cover all aspects of computer applications and get placed in good company this course covers all the imp topics which are required for job and placements . Teaching methods are basic. Semester exams are not that difficult.
Internships Opportunities
All major comnies comes in dtu like Amazon, Samsung, D.E. shaw, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. Most compnies use hackerrank.com for testing your coding skills Internship process contains coding round, 2-3 technical rounds and HR round You need a high CGPA for On Campus internship.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for btech first year is 234000 and it increases every year for eg: my first year(2023-24) fees was 234000 and second year fees was 236000. They also provide fees concession for students whose family income is less then 450000 per annum. They also provide 15-16 scholarship programs.
Campus Life
Invictus (a technical fest) and Engifest (a cultural fest) In 2024 they both were held in February Dtu library has a large collection of books and journals and periodicals on a wide range of topics. It also contains books for your sem exams. Dts sports complex is very huge . It has stadiums for many sports like cricket, football, tennis, basketball, kabaddi, and many more. It also has gym for boys and girls .
Admission
Admission process was quite good. You have to participate in councelling through JAC delhi Eligibility: 10+2 from science stream with min of 75% marks . Reservation: Reservation for students who did their schooling from delhi and also for obc/sc/st. Exams: In each sem, there are mid sem and end sem exams with more than 1.5 month gap and exams are quite moderate(easy). All info about admission is listed on JAC delhi website.
Faculty
Some faculties are very good and helpful. But some are like they will come ,read their notes and will go, they are there just to complete their duty . On the other hand there are many teachers who are extremely talented and helpful, they teach very well and focus on all the students. During my first sem, we didn't saw our computer language faculty till our mid sem exams. We didn't knew what to study and from where to study.
