Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course entails every possible aspect of life sciences starting from molecular biology to bioanalytical techniques. Albeit, the theoretical aspect takes a front seat. One would expect to learn lab techniques but due to the limited time and high number of students hands on training isn't always possible. One would learn modern relevant topics like bioinformatics at least on a surface level.overall good structure but only if you are interested in a PhD and not an industrial job.

Fees and Financial Aid

2 years of the course had costed us 4000INR approx . Extremely affordable and also underprivileged students can apply for a fee-waiver and they will be reimbursed. No other charges or donations than the base fees.

Campus Life

4.5

If you are an artistic and social person who likes to make friends along the way, this place is for you. JU provides you with an extremely pleasant and warm environment where you could hit up a conversation with anyone about anything shile you chill at worldview or you could hang out around the playground during a hot summer evening . An extremely up to date Central Library will cover all your academic needs . There are 7 canteens around the camous so your lunch and tea breaks are sorted. There are multiple clubs like mountaineering , dance, singing, book clubs and poetry clubs. We have a basketball court which is never left empty and the department also conducts yearly picnics

Admission

Anyone with a B.Sc can apply ( Biology, chemistry physics maths etc) . Application details are found on FACEBOOK ( JU BIOTECHNOLOGY 2024 GROUP). Contact helpdesk numbers provided. Entrance exam is comoulsory. You will be selected on the basis of your rank. Try to score above 65% in the entrance. You should have a 75% on your bachelor's as well.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is good . we had 7 highly-educated faculty members who have their own labs and scholars working under them. Department had taken a special mentir-mentee program approach although it never culminated into anything , all whistles and horns. Interactive lectures and extremely helpful professors, seniors and scholars. Quality teaching althought placements are bleak .

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.

Remarks:

Data Science is a booming industry and the course structure of this institution is at par with other elite, so-called A-Grade institutes, but at a cheaper rate. This was the prime reason for selecting this university. Known about this university from a senior studying here.
