Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

From the school life I have a strong interest on the subject geography, so I decided and I was so sure about my decision to take this course of geography honours. In the coure curriculum the college facilities can take class tests to improve the students learning capacity. The frequency and timing of exams are propperly decorated for the students, that the students can take a challenge to complete the syllabus within a limited time period .

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees in our college is near about 20000 rupees, along with every facilities like lab , library , play ground, including exams etc. There are no extra charges for tuition fees , bt the registration fees is obvious, it is nearly 340 ruppes per examination . Our college is taking the Chanda for saraswati pujo from the students which organised in every year . Our college is a government college so that's why there are not many extra charges. Our college provides various scholarships to students like Swami Vivekananda scholarship and etc like it . Specifically my course fees in three years is nearly 60000 rupees.

Campus Life

3.5

There are only one big program held in every year , this is our college fest, named " Sankalp" , it's a huge program of 3 days , including Student performances like dancing, singing, modelling , and also celebrity concerts, dj show etc . All the departments make their departmentall stall to represent their subjects and it is a compitition on the prespect of who is describe their department greatly. Our college library has a huge collection of various books , science journals and news papers for helping students. All our classrooms has a projector machine and cc tv along with the rooms .

Admission

Some has to score minimum 80 % marks on overall Higher Secondary exam and minimum 90% result on the main subject paper . Our college published a admission portal through online website, students can apply through this portal with the eligibility criteria. The admission process is so long, it is half done in online and half in offline in college campus , and after that there are so many other procedures of confirm admission, so according to me these are some drawbacks .

Faculty

3

All the faculties of our college is so much educated and qualified, maximum of them are completed their masters, and some are also doing researchs on their subjects. overall all facilities are so helpfull with their students and behave friendly to teach them well .

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
