Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course follows the syllabus prescribed by the UGC. Programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, HTML, JSP, etc. were included in our course. The only improvement that is needed is that the class should be conducted regularly. The semester interval is around 5 months to 6 months. The difficulty of the semester exam is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

No internship is provided by the college. Students can apply for internship of their own. Companies that visited our campus for placement are Accenture, TCS, Sentient Geeks, zapuza, Wipro and so on. Many students got placed in these companies.

Placement Experience

4

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like Accenture, TCS, Wipro, Sentient Geeks, etc visited our campus. The average package offered is 4 lakh per annum. More students from BCA department gets placed. My plan is to pursue MCA.

The year-wise fees is 16000. Each semester fees is approximately 8000. The semester wise fees structure is: academic development-4990, admission- 100, building development-150, college development-300, tuition fees-660 per month, library fees-100, establishment fees-100, electricity fees- 150 per month. Campus Life

4

The overall campus life is good. There are many books available in the college library. There is a smart board available in a classroom. Our college focuses on the sports and extra curricular activities. Cricket, basketball, badminton etc tournaments are held in our college. Also the college organises competition for different co curricular activities like painting, dance, singing, etc. There is a separate cultural section in our college. Every year cultural fest is held in around January.

Admission

The eligibility to take admission in the computer science is that the applicant must have mathematics and physics in his/her class 12. The aggregate percentage needed is 60% in mathematics and physics. The application form can be found from the official website of the college.

3.5

Total faculty in our department is 7. Total students were about 72. The teaching quality is good. Teachers provide guidance to the students for their future career or goals. From 5th semester every student is provided with a guide.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
