Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is based upon the new education policy and hence is better than the previous curriculum where even every tech student had to study subjects like mechanical and chemistry which is of no use to them. From now, tech students learn their useful things from 1st sem onwards like web-design, languages etc.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

A lot of students gets interships in DTU from 3rd year onwards in various big companies. Google, Microsoft etc all gives internship opportunities to students in dtu at multiple packages like 75000, 120000 etc.

Placement Experience

4

The placements at DTU is just too good. A major percentage of students get placed every year. Nearly 87% of students from my branch IT got placed this year even after in recession. And this percentage used to be 96% previous year. Every big company like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple etc. visits the campus. The highest package offered in DTU is 1.08cr and the average for tech branches is around 24L and for overall college is 17-18L.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here at DTU increases on an yearly basis. The yearly fees are as follows for the respective years :- 2,36,000 2,46,700 2,66,000 2,86,000 The total fees for 4 years comes out to be 10,36,700. But there are also multiple scholarships being offered to DTU students and their circulars are being circulated as notice by the management. Also there are provisions of fee waiver by the college itself to the eligible candidates.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life at DTU is amazing and very chill. You get every sports facility, every club for your interest etc. The library of DTU is a multi storey library with a lot of contents like physical books, research papers, online content etc for students. The main fest of Dtu is called as ENGIFEST and it's one of the biggest north indian fest which normally happens in February. Also there are multiple fests happening all over the year like the techfest, yuvaan, Invictus etc.

Admission

The admission in DTU is being done on the basis of JEE MAINS Rank. I had applied for multiple other colleges like NSUT, IIIT-D, some IITs but yet ended up choosing DTU because of its old legacy and heritage. DTU is no doubt almost equal to NSUT in terms of placement and all but still the freedom and opportunities that DTU provides is much more than NSUT. IIIT-D was firstly quite a small college and also restricted to only tech domains. Hence chose DTU over IIIT-D also. Lastly I was getting chemical type of branches in some IITs but due to my tech branch preference, I chose DTU over IIT also.

Faculty

4

The faculties in my first sem atleast that I have got are quite nice and are all Phd holders. The faculties of all the top tech branches are nice only. Just that the electrical professors are little bit old styled. They are very approachable and your doubts or anything will be solved by them. My faculties here at research give internships to college students only hence helping them writing a research paper. So anyone interested in research can approach the faculties. There are two exams in a sem i.e., midsem and endsem. And they won't be that tough from what I have heard.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
