College Management is good, but sometimes little slow is implementing plans. One thing I didn't like about the college administration was End Time for girls. It is 8 pm, post which you cannot go out of college

Course Curriculum is good and Exam structure is pretty relaxing. There are 8 semesters in total and duration is around is 3-4 months each. In the second month of each semester Mid sem exam(25 marks) is conducted and in the last month End sem exam(60 marks)is conducted. Rest 15 marks are for internal assessment allotted by the respective subject professor.

Placements are quite decent. Generally, Computer science and IT branches have the highest placements with an average package of 10lpa and highest being 40lpa. whereas the branches like ECE and EEE can also seat for almost all the companies including IT firms. So, if you have a good idea about coding you can very easily grab a decent placement from ECE or EEE branches. Branches like Mechanical and chemical also have good placements and core companies and consultancies and generally targeted by the students. The internships opportunities are given in last semester. Generally, students from CSE, IT, ECE branch go for 4 months internship which may later be converted as full-time employment. I was from the production branch and I got internship IN BYJU'S- ED tech company. The student in Chemical / Mechanical / Production/ Polymer usually write a research paper or do projects.

BIT Mesra celebrates the second largest cultural fest in ASIA- Bitotsav. Apart from that, you will find n no. of Technical- Non-technical clubs, NGO's run by the students namely Rotaract, Leo, Drishti, ACM, IEEE, IET, Dance club, Music- dwani, etc. These clubs individually or in collaboration with other clubs arrange a lot of events, workshops, street shows, donation camps, cultural nights, etc. It's fun to participate and relax during these festive times.

The complete fee of Btech course is around 8.9 lakhs. The first year fees were 2 lakh 50 thousand. The admission fees along with 1 sem fee are around 1 lakh 50,000. There is an extra fee 15k-18k that is to be paid separately for the mess facility if you are living in a hostel.

If your parents have an annual income of less than 3 lakhs, then you can avail some scholarship on your tuition fees, but that too if your grades are more than 8 cgpa.

There is a perfect balance of academics and extracurricular activity on campus. Altogether there will be 2 fests, 1 cultural( Bitotsav)and 1 technical fest( Pantheon). Campus life is happening if you are an extrovert and join various clubs. The gender ratio is not that bad as compared to NITS and IITS. The ratio would be around 4:10.

Around 20,000 is the hostel fees per semester and extra 15,000 for mess facility. There are no other extra fees that you have to pay in the middle of the semester. The hostel rooms are spacious and girls are given 2 sharing rooms for all the four years. 1st-year boys are given 2 sharing rooms and for the rest of the 3 yrs, they enjoy single sharing rooms.

Yes, they are helpful at the time of placements and joining new colleges in masters. The alumni can help you in referring to various companies off campus and can give you better in site about a particular college. The senior students can help you with important notes, assignments, projects, lab manuals. They can also give you info about professors and subject difficulty levels.

I got into the college through JEE mains exam, post which I had to apply to all the colleges covered under this exam like NITs, BITs, and state gov. colleges according to my rank. Finally, in the third round of the counselling, I was called for the admission process. The time of the month around which I applied for the same was July- August 2014.

The faculties are very co-operative and knowledgeable. They know about their respective fields and will help you even in writing the research papers if you wish to do higher studies. There are a few exceptions also. But overall the faculties are good and will not burden you with assignments.
