Course Curriculum Overview

The course was little bit tough as it is maths so we need to give more time in it ...the course and time table for it were also in arrenged manner and there was enough time to revise and clear our doubts6

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fees was around 10000 per year including the semester exam if any reservations is there it will cost around 7500 per year ...I didn't had any scholarship neither reservation too.... mangement courses will be costing around 15000 per year

Campus Life

There were programs such annual function and farewell and ScSt get together, annual sports also took place .There was NSS group and NCC group..I participated I NCC group went to outside odisha for camps

Admission

I have applied Municipal college, Rourkela and in got the college from the first selection...I didn't get the rejection from any college as the selection procedure is of merti basis as it was close to my residence so I went to that college

Faculty

There aare around 5 faculty members including the lab faculty....They can be always approachable for cunsultce as they are hardly 7to 8 yrs elder than us ....there were around 5 papers per semester 80 marks written and practical and 20 marks internal

A journey that will help you learn a lot.

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The campus life after college hours is quite engaging and helps us develop as a person.
Extra curricular activities are into multiple options.
Faculties are good in nature,they teach us like a friend.

Dislikes

Bad condition of the washrooms ,not cleaned.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum includes the real projects which help learn more practically. It would had been better to have more site and industrial visits and export sessions to learn better.The exams are not so difficulty to score.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

there are smart class rooms and good faculty for my course and various extracurricular activities are available for students
you can compete many state and national level competitions such as essay writings, creative writings, debate, poster making, etc.
the management of the university is really commendable. various departments and cells have been established to help students in their academic life such as; placement cells, incubation and innovation centers for young entrepreneurs

Dislikes

students who are engaged in political activities often exercise their dominance over other students
sanitation could be better with the mutual efforts of both the students and the college management
though is a placement cell present, i haven't seen many numbers of students getting employed through the university placement cell

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

Value for Money Education in Rourkela

applied to a few colleges under Sambalpur University for B.Com including some private institutes in Rourkela. I selected Rourkela College because the fee structure is affordable and the college has a decent reputation for Commerce courses. The location is also convenient for me, which saves time and makes daily travel easier. The admission process was completely merit-based through the SAMS Odisha online portal. After submitting the CAF form, the seat was allotted on the basis of my 12th percentage. The process was smooth and there were no unnecessary requirements like entrance exams or donations. Cutoff was reasonable, so admission felt fair for everyone. Compared to private colleges, Rourkela College offers more value for the money. The faculty is experienced and the academic environment is disciplined. Facilities may not be very modern, but the teaching quality and learning atmosphere are strong enough to help students build a good foundation for future career or higher studies. Overall, choosing this college was a practical and smart decision for me and my family....Read More
