Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Talking from personal experience the course is totally totally relative being compared to the real world, or corporate as you might say. The teachers here make sure you are being tought almost everything and not just the bookish knowledge to ace exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

Till now few companies have visited the campus like UBER, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, BNY, EXPEDIA and all of them have offered internships to 3rd year students with approximately the same stipend that is around 1lakh and more and more companies are set to come because this was just the first month of the season and long way to go ahead.

Placement Experience

5

Companies come for internships opportunities on the campus in the starting of the 3rd year and reward lucrative offers to students who work hard to achieve it. Getting anywhere around 1 lakh per month as a 3rd year student and people often get PPOs to the companies. Students are allowed to work whenever they want in the 4 year time, there is no restriction from the college on that and campnies arrive for final placements in the 4th year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year i joined DTU that was back in 2022, I had to give a total fee of 2,10,00 INR for the first year and it increases every year by around 8-10% for general candidates which is a significant increase and this year that is my 3rd year in college I had to pay around 2,40,000 INR so the fee increase is a lot as compared to previous years. I commute daily, I'm a day scholar so I've not applied for hostel or any PG, the fees above is everything inclusive(academic, labs, development etc) except the hostel.

Campus Life

5

My experience has been good as I'm a social butterfly and love making new friends and meeting new people and this is just the college if yuo want to explore. It has one of the biggest fests of India - Engifest and is held in the month of februrary with the biggest artists invited and a footfall of 3 lakh +.

Admission

I went to this University only because of the reason of exposure you get here. Meeting new people, so many new faces and a student of every kind, getting to learn a lot from the peers and a fierce competition that is always forcing you to work harder and stronger.

Faculty

4

- Faculty is really good specially Software, and they know what they're teaching and have very in depth knowlege of their subjects. - They allow you to communicate and encourage you very firmly to participate in the class which i really like about them. - Exams are relatively on the easier side but branches like Electrical, ECE, Mechanical are on the tougher side because they are core subjects

Other Applied Colleges

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology - [IIITD] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Applied Mathematics)

Mainly because I wanted to explore much more opportunities and new pathways that could help me in future and for character development but I've heard IIITD coursework does not allow you to give much time to yourself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
