Overall environment was good and gave the college vibe
The geographical placement of the campus made it beautiful

The management was strict of useless stuff.

Course Curriculum Overview

The coding section was more prioritized and made me choose this course. The curriculum is too outdated and all the preparation needs to be done by the students and help from the staff. Teaching methods need more Innovation and more training sessions. The time limit was too low for each semester's exams.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements. The companies that came were Quest Global, UST Global, Sutherland, Innovature, etc. overall Students placed 102. The highest package is 5.4LPA and the Lowest is 2.5LPA. 40% Students were placed. Take a short-term course to know the Industry well and then take a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

I couldn't attend the KEAM exam so got admission in the NRI Quota so my yearly fees were 80k and my bus fees were 20k per year A caution deposit of 10k should be paid at the beginning of the admission which will be given as a refund when we graduate. There is merit and management quota with fees of 30k and 60k respectively. Scholarships are available according to the minority and marks basis.

Campus Life

Annual fest and Tech Fests are helped mostly in the even semesters. The library is easily accessible and has a large collection of books and journals. Classrooms and facilities are good and each department and lab has wifi connection. Sports and extracurricular activities are too low and not prioritized. There are a few clubs like FM club, Sports Club, Music Club, etc.

Admission

I had applied to a few colleges nearby like Saintgits and Amaljyoti but the fee structure was too high so had to opt for this college. Few colleges I got rejected as I couldn't attend the qualifying exam due to corona. KEAM exam-qualified students can get admission to the college.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is low as faculty were really outnumbered and the CS dept had friendly staff most of them and were really supportive Most of them made the journey easy. Each sem had 2 module exams and 2 series exams and finally sem exams The course curriculum is not at all relevant and needs to be modified immediately.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

The overall environment here is great. Students coming from different backgrounds make us more capable of meeting new people who have different ideas and that makes things easier,apart from achieving technical greatness ,curtain clubs are here
These clubs gives opportunities to gain new skills and to showcase our existing skills, sports clubs are also present which will help improve skills in sports
Cultural clubs , technical clubs are also present here to aid in your interest

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.

college provides nice venue good study environment

It is so far from the main road a lot to walk

Students can get internships from First sem. Students become eligible from 7th sem for campus placement . The average package begins from 15000/- to most highest package of 25000/-. The percentage of students getting paced is 20-30%.I have been planiing to go to higher studies.

Likes

Campus, comparing from nearby college this college had good visual beauty may be because of the college been part 2-3 movies. Visually the college are too good with nature

Dislikes

The Placement is weak as there is no opportunity to get a proper core based job from what you studied mainly job opportunities come from call centres which doesnt require Btech to study. This personally felt too sad to be here to get placed in core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of the college comes under Ktu syllabus it has already has demerits of the university. Curriculum basically doesnot provide a realworld application uses. Just creates a knowledge on the course (and thats doubt) We need to courses outside the college to get the core jobs outside

The college provides a good atmosphere to truly get a job in the competetive world if we are willing to work for it.
They heavily monitor attendance to make sure that you take your classes so that you perform well in your exams
The facilities provided by the college are good as there are several labs and workshops for hands-on experience

Dislikes

The campus life can get boring and it feels like we are in a rat race.
Some teachers can be a bit apathetic towards the students.
The number events that encourage social interactions in not many

The students are elegible for campus placements from the 7th semester and almost all students get placements provided they don't have any subject yet to clear at the time of placement. There are several companies that visit the college for recruiting including but not limited to TCS, CTS,etc,.

The campus is a package pf greenery and the culteral events conducted there are good at the end
The faculties are good and maintain a decent teaching style
The sports activities are well maintained here

Dislikes

The hostel mess and the food is a bit not good from my opinion
The hostel doesn't have adequate wifi to accommodate the entire strength of students residing there

Yes the college is providing placement facilities and the College has its own placement and industrial relations wing that is said to study about the current industrial requirements and provide the adequate amount of training for the students

SEEING STCET THROUGH MY VISION

Candidates who have passed 12th examinations with physics, mathematics, and chemistry as their compulsory subjects with an aggregate of 45% are eligible to apply. I Got admission through the KEAM entrance exam conducted by the government of Kerala and the category allotted to me was state merit (SM). So the tuition fees were fixed by the government as INR 5O, OOO per yr and as it was a self-financing college they had many other fesses like special fees, placement training fees, etc. and at the time of admission, we had to pay 1000 Rs as admission fees and caution deposit of INR 10,000 (Refundable) and the 2023 year cutoff was 48567 for KEAM. 50-50 merit and management seats are available and at STCET a class comprised of 60 seats for each branch....Read More

College Life well spent at STCER

The admission process was quite simple. On the day of counselling based on your rank, you will be provided college. Suppose your rank is above 5000 you may have been called for counselling on day 2. Now there is the opportunity of selecting another college. I particularly followed this college since what I have heard from my seniors who used to study in this college is that here placement facilities were really outstanding .plus since I am from the outskirts of Kolkata I could reside anywhere in Khiddderpore where this college is situated.In simple terms, the location of this college is really good.
