Likes

The faculty is good .The student teacher relationship is good and friendly.
The vicinity is clean and the environment is positive.
The canteen is good provides clean and hygienic food.

Dislikes

The equipment in the practical can be made more better.
The result announcement is a bit late than usual.
The convocation takes place late than it should be.

The course is quite relevant.The curriculum is quite significant to today's job requirements.One can get the skills required for applying in a job.The theory part is also good and simple to understand.

There is a placement cell in our college which brings campus placements and informs timely about them so that one can apply for it.People are selected on the basis of test given by the job requirements clearing which you can get offered the job.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a very good college.The faculty is very good.The environment is very positive.The vicinity is big and very clean.I had the best experience in this college regarding my subject.The canteen is good .It has hygienic and good food.

Campus Life

The experience was very good.People are good in the college.There are many groups like Students union etc.There is a sports room and a gym in the college.There is a library where you can find all the books almost.

Admission

This college has recently got A in NAAC grading so one can opt for this college.The college has a positive approach towards outcome of the students.To get admission one has to give CUET on basis of which scores are decided.

Faculty

The faculty members is very good.They are very friendly.They explain the course very well.The bachelor course is for three years and Master's for two years and diploma for one year.Marking is done in grading and is but tough to score well.

Likes

Good and calm environment which makes it better to study. Friendly faculty
The curriculum is helpful for other competitive exams like UGC NET
Many of the students of Assam University are working in various respectable fields now. Faculty top notch.

Dislikes

The classrooms could have been more spacious
Digital classrooms and wifi connection should be improved
Canteen should be better and spacious. Food quality should be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we know Literature is a mirror of the society . I have always wanted to be a English literature student as it helps to deal with real life problems. We start feeling things in a deep and well manner. According to me , others factors are well n good.

Likes

Faculty members are very helpful. They provide you with needful things.
During my PG dissertation course my mentor helped me a lot. While completing my thesis.

Dislikes

They were quite very serious about the attendance. They were not negligible towards it.
As like other departments there were favouritism which was not performed by every teacher but some among them.
Faculty was serious about cheating and does take hard steps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

They were efficient for our future. The course included creative writing, Aranslation studies, American studies, Feminist texts, British literature, Indian literature, Post colonialism and others. They helped in development of language and skills.

Placement Experience:

Placement at the university is conducted at the end semester. Different companies from a different places always show up. The smart and best students get a good placement from big companies and more the 80 percent get placement with a good amount of salary.

A honest Review

Placement Experience:

Here placement is only for Masters students and the placement starts from the final semester, bachelor students do have placement but it comes in the form of fellowships as a teacher post such as teach for India, Gandhi fellowship, and a few more. The highest package was 15 lakhs this year and usually, around 80% get placement.

I have chosen this course because I like this subject and nothing more. The Faculty And Students Ratio Would Be Like 1:40 Which Is Pretty Good And Impressing. The Faculties Are Well Qualified and Kind-Hearted and Friendly. Exams Occurred At Right Time And Very Strictly Managed. Exams Are Quite Easy To Pass.

The MA Programme in English has been designed in such a way that it meets the standard of other national and international universities of repute. The curriculum included 4 course subject per semester. They covered topics ranging from the disciplines of poetry, historic writing, American literature as well as literature review. The course material was vast enough to prepare me for further studies.

Review of the oldest University of Assam , cotton University

Admission for master's is done through an entrance exam. The form for it is available on the university website. Eligibility is decided through the entrance score. Of the total seats in each department, 50% are reserved for students from the Cotton University itself, and the rest 50% are for students from other universities. The 50% of seats reserved for university students are given based on merit (cgpa of bachelor's). And the seats for students from other universities are decided by the entrance score. Cotton university graduates get 50% of the seats. of which 2% is for OBC. 2% is for SC and another 1% is for ST.
